Hi, I used Selsun blue shampoo since it was recommended to everyone with dandruff. Yes, it is effective but it depends to people who has the same results. I actually used it but it dries out my scalp and thins my hair. I avoided sulfate shampoos and changing my diet since some foods I ate did gave me flaky scalp. Having a healthy lifestyle is the best option but as for shampoos its best to find that is suitable for your scalp. Sulfates shampoos are fine for those who has oily skin type but most people dont use it since it can cause dry scalps.
