What do you do with those round speaker hole offcuts seen around 4min30? I'm building some omnidirectional speakers that could really use round pieces of ply :) Just made some Duevel-style horns, but they'd be useful for regular diffusers as well. I'm in Oxford, happy to drive down if you're willing to part with a pile for a fair price. Cheers!
hi that's a brilliant video I just have a question I have a powered studio master desk with Jack outputs could this be changed to speakon outputs thanks
Hey, very nice workshop and CNC 🙂 I also have a NUM CNC-controller (NUM 1050) on my 5 axis Huber&Grimme, they are really very good and reliable! Greetings from Germany 🙂
This was so helpful, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your tips & tricks. Now i finally know how i should link my cabinets nice and easy ! Jah bless 🙏🏼❤️💛💚
Could you explain how you connect four speakon in the same cabinet? Like for a sub that has two Speakon at the back and two at the Front and therefor is easy turnable for a cardioid setting ?
Ha, wish I'd seen this a few weeks ago when I fitted out my rig as a total newb with all NL2 fittings. Things are congested,, but at that point I had no idea how to wire it all up with NL4's etc. And those fasten connectors would have saved me hours. We live and we learn lol.
Greetings from France! 🇫🇷 I need your experience for my project. What is the best box to build for an 8" subwoofer? To have the deepest bass it can give. Thanks in advance for your advice. 😁
Brilliant , I'm over here Ireland. I set up a workshop in lockdown for building campers and probably had a lot of the same difficulty as yourself with material cost , efficacy in the workshop ect. I have another job so I’m lucky enough to be able to make stupid mistakes and I have learnt a lot from it. Great so see you are doing well and look forward to seeing more video’s .
DONT DIS REGGAE SOUNDS PAL ITS BECAUSE OF REGGAE SOUNDS THESE HI WATTAGE DRIVERS HAS COM ABOUT WHAT ABOUT THEM ROCK PA WOT SOUNDS CRAP,BUT U WANA PLAY DUB CHEEKY.STOP WATERING DOWN REGGAE SOUNDS TALKING LIKE U R THE THE ONLY ONE KNOWS ABOUT SOUND AND REGGAE MUSIC U WANNA B.
You raise a good point, the issues of non intentional design are prevalent across multiple different areas of the PA world. No disrespect was intended, in fact I felt I was quite careful to give reasons for all my opinions. This talk focuses on reggae sound systems solely (and not other areas of audio) because I was delivering it a University reggae society and I was trying to keep things relevant to their knowledge base.
I need this tune from the soundcheck.. Calum do you know if it"s alredy release ???? Joe yorke do it so right ..Masterclass vocal performance Big up Sinai
Replace the bag filters on your dust collection system with a cyclone and pleated filters. Much nicer, and easier to clean. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NillwoISAtE.html
There is a time and a place for 3D printing things, while it would be possible to do it I don't fancy risking bodging parts on my main piece of machinery...
After gluing we tend to apply some wood filler if there are any minor gaps, then either just trim with a laminate trim cutter in a router, or trim and sand. Tbh a random orbital sander with 80g paper should be plenty to tidy up the edges enough to give a good finish.
@@CalumAudioLtd I've tried everything like bondo and shellac but even with the thicker coatings like Duratex I've found that after a while (could be a year) the seams start to show. The paint you're using seems to be very thick so that probably helps hide quite a bit
@@octilliondollars Tough thing to hide , I've had turbosound/martin auto cabs , new and old that have had the rebate seem show through on the edges over time.
People still linking and running 2R in2022??? Whilst paraflex isn't pro sound surely people would want proper cabling to make it the best it can be... Links leads = Mud end off!
