Jarrow I bought a 4x16x40 UTG scope and I went to set it and the yardage control behind the front lens slid off and is dangling on the scope. It has fine thread but will not reattach can you help me out thanks
I've tried Girl hair, spider web, unravelled dental floss and found them all either too thick or too brittle. I finally tried using a thin thread of rubber cement successfully I dabbled two toothpicks in a drop of rubber cement and drew out a thin thread. I opened my bench vice about 25 % and anchored the glue thread across the jaws. I then opened the jaws out further and achieved an extremely thin glue thread. i then held the brass bezel directly beneath the glue thread and carefully raised it until it contacted the thread of glue between the marks that I had scribed on the rim of the bezel. I repeated the method for the other cross hair. The bezel has been used in a violent springer air rifle for about 12 months and still remains in place. ( a drop of glue on the ends of each strand was added for good measure) If the thread appears to be too coarse it's really no trouble to clean with solvent and have another go at it. Really tried this as a last resort before deciding to bin the scope, but was pleasantly surprised that it worked out so well. Cheers jarrow708,your video was good. I built the scope. so i had the cells on the bench before i assembled the scope. with some scope the cross hairs are right at the end of the tube when your remove the rear eye piece.
On 3/29/2016 paid $1500. down to have a Ferret50 built by this company. Delivery date was supposed to be July/August 2016. No gun. Four more date given as delivery dates, still no gun. Drove to FL from WV in November 2016, visited gun shop and was told I would have my gun before Christmas. In Feb. 2017, company admitted they has no barrels to build guns with. We have requested a full refund three times. Now our phone calls are ignored. If you take money for something and never deliver, customer should be refunded, this is fraudulent activity.
How do you measure that everything is square ,i tried this years ago with soldier wire and its not 90 deg but it works,but watching l would like to improve it,any tips...
great video with good ideas. I tried the dental floss, but didn't work as well as for you. So I used a long strand of my daughter's hair... it worked great. Just another idea.
Are you sure you don't have it backwards? I know my twin stick w/ no t-case mods gives me FWD low, but not RWD low. How I get around that is just, well, unlock the front hubs.
Thank you. I was given a David and White transit and the cross hairs where missing. I took it apart and saw that piece you where working on. With a a lot of projects on my back, I decided to take the scope to an repair shop for an estimate. They wanted $175.00. I can get a used one for approx. $100.00. Therefore, I'm heading there now to pick it up and repair it myself. Again, Thank you and thank you You Tube.
JB Fab makes a great twin stick converstion for dana 300 and many other t-cases. to get the t-case completely independent you will need to remove shift inter lock pills, if you choose not to remove the pills you only gain rear low only. but you can cross shift your t-case when pills are removed if you not careful i didn't remove mine and im happy! the fluid shifting is what is all about shift like butter once you have it all lined up and bent right for your jeep.
