A little misleading for a beginner the polyembyonic doesn’t have five separate seeds within the husk. It looks like one seed but on close examination you can see the different seeds. Of your five sprouts the smallest is the fertilized one and should be culled. The remaining four do not have to be grafted and will produce the fruit the seeds came from. The mono after many years will produce but you can’t be certain of what you’ll get. The mono in my opinion would be the one to graft using Scion of the desired mango you want. Not trying to be a wise arse but hopefully adding some clarity to your awesome video. Good luck!🙏🙏🙏
Hello, I appreciate your comment but I’m having a hard time understanding your comment. You start by saying polyembryonic doesn’t have five separate seeds within the husk and then you go and say after further examination you can see the different seeds? Which part of the video is misleading?
@@themangovista to me and I believe a beginner is going to find five separate seeds we they open the husk. They’re going to find a single pod made up of many seeds.😩🙏
@@1cleandude lol you are making a mistake. The husk is the pod when we are talking about mangoes. What you were trying to say is that you believe someone is going to open the pod/husk and expect for five seeds to fall out like peanuts 🤣 that’s funny I didn’t think about that. I hope that the person watching a video on the difference between poly and mono mango seeds has done a little more research. Ok for the record poly seeds may look like one seed to the untrained eye lol but it’s not, it may have multiple seeds stuck to each other making it look like one seed. My recommendation Is to look up pictures of mono and Poly seeds to see the difference. I’ve made a video on how to separate the poly seeds once they grow. I hope this helps👍 Thanks again for your comment
I’ve read that it can be the tallest one out of the bunch but I cannot confirm that. I’ve never grown one out I prefer to graft it to get the exact match.
I never get all my fruit trees in the garden tours because they’re scattered all over the place. These are the varieties I have. Pakistani Shangri La Mulberry Worlds best Mulberry thai dwarf mulberry Australian turkey mulberry
What a beautiful food forest. I do the same in my yard, it's awesome to see. I love the leaves of each plant, they are so expressive. They love that rain.😊Thanks for sharing!
Presently, I have mine in a 3gallon container. It’s about the same size as yours. I’m planning to put it in a larger pot end of summer so it can grow some more. Which breadfruit variety do you have Ma’fala???? I have yellow heart.
I’m waiting for my yellow bread fruit to reach 6 feet before I make that decision. Right now it’s still to young. Need it to grow to a certain height so it’s more established with a bigger trunk.
I noticed I can not keep my bread fruit in direct summer sunlight the leaves started to burn. So I keep it next to a huge Valencia Pride mango tree that provides some shade.
No irrigation no water schedule just natural rainwater, but I think my small tree has hit the water table because it is so close to the lake and also it has protection from the large cypress trees.
Hello from Valrico. Good info, nice tree. Do u plan on keeping it small or letting it go? I have one in a pot, i do fertilize every month with water soluble fert...when i remember...lol
Hello neighbor, my plan is to let them grow until I feel like they’re stopping the production of another tree then I’ll cut them back as needed. I know someone with a startfruit that’s been in the ground for 15 years and it only sticks out about 7 feet from the trunk. I hear they do really good in pots as well.
That was another awesome video . !!Thank you. Question 1 Is it possible to also ask you for an Orange Sherbet mango seed as well ? Or is that too much ask ? Question 2: How can I contact you ? Thank you sir !!🙏
As usual, your garden tours are always awesome and amazing ! Thank you. By the way, I’m interested in your Pina Colada mango . Once you finish eating that last fruit, is it possible that I can have the mango seed from that tree . Or I can purchase it if you’re willing to sell the seed. Please let me know. I am one of your loyal subscribers. Thanks again.
@@themangovista Thank you. How can I get a hold of you . ?? What’s better 4 you to communicate with you. ?…. Text ? Email ? Phone number ? Once again. Thanks 🙏
I live near Gainesville Fl zone 8b and my tissue culture Goldfinger banana produced its first rack of bananas. This is the first yr I had a banana plant produce bananas. I also have a real FHIA 1 Goldfinger non tissue culture banana in the ground.
@themangovista I kinda figured it out, I dunno if this helps but this is what happened... so I bought another sapodila tree and put it close to hit and alot of bees or etc started living and swarming it. Now it has fruits. But I dunno I also bu mango-avacado and limestone fertilizer 2 weeks before I saw them.. so u dunno but I think the trees and bees are helping them have s€x
