...bought this album - Humble Pie, Rockin' the Filmore, circa 1970 - so I put it on a best high school buddy's turn-table... So he asks me "is it any good"?... & so I drop the needle in the groove of side 1 / cut 1 & he hears that intro' guitar riff of "Four Day Creep", looks at me & says, "YEAH! It's good"... Always love to hear it... Thank you Mr. Frampton... & btw, thanks for your "Thank You Mr. Churchill" record also!... love to all, bj...
So glad I got to see Led Zeppelin live in 1978. Yes I’m that old but that concert lives in my memory like it was yesterday. They are the beast of rock ‘n’ roll rollers. So good!
My favorite band. They always played here in Michigan when they toured, but only in Detroit and Pontiac. I didn't have my driver's license in the 1970s, so no go.
Saw them outdoors on a beautiful night in Raleigh, NC a few years ago. It was beyond fantastic. Played every song to perfection and awesome sound!!! Wish they would come back.
I just purchased an S.L.P. Big black panther 8 by 14 snare from TAMA and the main reason? It sounds so similar to boham’s and Alex Van Halen big Ludwig endorsers this dudes will make pots sound fantastic
GOOD GROOVE MR JASON ! (from >>>D.D. French Professionnal drummer >>SOLO DRUMS >ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xSkQPccrsc4.html FRIENSHIPS dear JASON !
Ive seen Robert Plant at 70 plus with twice the energy as this singer. At least he has passable vocals. Overall sound is really good. Drummer and guitar are spot on
I saw Robert Plant last summer. Still sounds good. But he's not interested in joining Jason's band. Jason is just having fun playing Zeppelin tunes and telling stories of growing up in the Zeppelin family.
whoever the singer is has it pretty spot on. great drums also from Jason. didn't care for the long improv at the start however. sounded disjointed and odd.
What sounds like "improv" is actually the opening portion of "White Summer," an instrumental that Jimmy Page composed around 1966-1968 while still in the Yardbirds. Then there's a portion of "Black Mountain Side," then into "Kashmir." (a medley of sorts)
Glad to see Jason doesn’t feel like he needs to improve drumming perfection… he defiantly comes by it honestly.. the guy is incredible like his old man was.
I find it hard to believe he has two working 360s! I wonder if they are recreations.... One bad-a** bass rig back in the day. JPJ and Jaco can't be wrong.
No disrespect to Jason and his talented band, but they should bring more energy to LZ''s songs, Watch Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song (Live 1972) (Official Video) here on RU-vid. It's organized chaos. These are high energy powerhouse songs, and should be performed as such. Just my opinion as a 50+ year LZ and music fan.
You make some good points, Lyle. But you have to remember that in 1972, all four members of Led Zeppelin were in their 20s. Jason is my age, 56. I know personally that I don't have that same energy level I had in my 20s. Some of the band members are younger and should have the energy. Others are older, more reserved. It also has to do with personalities and era.
That vocal performance was amazing considering that he’s covering a song where Plant’s vocals were obviously sped up. And he still gives a fairly accurate live take of it. Those are some hard notes to hit
