I used the hell out of them and my mother has had them for close to 4years now and she plays them all day everyday. Still one of the best speakers iv ever bought.
I was 2 days from getting one but not so sure now with a few negative comments I heard....Should I just ignore them and purchase anyway or stay way....Just wondering if your opinion changed about it over time?
I actually still have this one and added another, shortly after they sound absolutely amazing and will move things in your house with the frequencies with ease. They have tons of output and with authority, id say if you have the money you wont find another powered sub that can do what this one can in this price range, its far more superior than the pioneer and others alike,
My 2014 with 47k miles. Overheating message. Dealer wants $4,800 to replace the pump and block. Nope. If I bypass the relay to turn on the pump, the pump twitches and stops. So I suppose it could be a bad compressor, or maybe the temp sensor. I have a refurb pump and block on order from RMT for $400, plus core.
Is your truck lopsided or stuck in a position that its not supposed to be? If it is and you "plan" on switching things out weather it be the pump or block or even bags... id suggest putting some stuff in your lines, it may free up the distributor block IF that may be the problem and ASSUMING its (overheating) means its running to long trying to do somthing. So id give it a try
@@cliffordsawyer2994 the rear stays up fine when it's all the way up as does the front. It's only when it is at riding height that the front drops.. periodically. It will work. When I apply power to the pump, it does shakes and stops. So my guess is it's partially seized. From what I've heard, the temperature sensor can cause this problem as well. I do have the line antifreeze that I did add. Unfortunately I still have the issue. The dealer did charge me a $185 diagnostic fee. Hopefully the $400 I spent on the pump fixes the issue.
@@cliffordsawyer2994 that comes next is going to a regular suspension. My brother said get the regular air suspension going if possible. I'll fix it myself hopefully and then decided if I'm going to keep the truck or not. I love my truck, but all these managers order these trucks with air suspension for no good reason. I could see if they ordered my truck with a trailer brake to get an air suspension, but I don't think it was smart for them to order all these trucks that way.
@m3rdpwr super easy swap and the trucks already come with rear "shocks" so if they arnt spanked you can re use them and get bigger springs, no need for new seats for them eather everything bolts right up. While looking for parts ALLLLLLLLL 4th gen will fit on ANY of the 4th gens (suspension) parts.
Iv been super busy to upload a video and because you asked i will. But they sound absolutely beastly, id say very comparable to the American bass and or the skar EVL witch i had previously, unfortunately there are No TS parameters for this sub but i can say from experience they can and will play down to 30hz or so with authority
Hi Clifford. Thank you, this is very useful. Some questions 1) how much fluid do you put in? 2) do you put it in every year? 3) do you clean out the lines every year then put in new fluid? 3) do you recommend a specific battery blanket? thanks again.
I use 1 oz or so. And this was the first time iv ever "cleaned" the lines out only because in theory the antifreeze would lose potency, and for battery blanket i just went with a 65 watt off brand because my outlet on my dash is good for 155watts so it works great,
I just bought a 2016 Rebel with 83k in Littleton New Hampshire. Love the truck ! Great video very informative. The winters up here really do a job on the trucks we drive.
Sorry i didnt get this notification but Yes that's how mine started and since i havnt had any issue except 1 time and it was a few weeks ago the temp dropped to 8 degrees pretty fast but i just plugged my battery blanket into my dash and wahla al good and not problems since Hope this helps
@@cliffordsawyer2994 no worries, I have a small channel and trying to keep up can still be hard I picked up the CRC airline antifreeze diesel additive last night. Going to try to do it sometime soon when it warms up a little bit.
Sorry i didnt get this notification, But behind the passenger tail light, you need i belive a t25 bit and bihind the light there with be 2 hoses you want the one with the filter and you can ether take the top half of the filter off and apply the antifreeze or you can pop the hole filter off, Hope this helps
Its still doing just fine, the other day it did give me a tiny problem the temps dropped down into the single digits BUT was quickly solved after plugging it in for about 5 minutes, i belive maybe the "moisture" evaporation stuff in the airbreak antifreeze maybe not as potentas it was when i had first done it 🤷♂️ but that being said zero problems
Awesome video, I'm going to try this but I'll do it in the fall when it's not quite as cold out. I know I'll have problems again this coming winter. It's inevitable at this point. The RAM air suspension is a complete trash system.
Yes, looks like the key battery is very low in voltage and is not sending the signal to the car module in charge to detect the key inside the slot. Open the key fob and check the battery voltage.
My buddy had the tip of his key missing as you do as well I’m not sure if it’s related but definitely doesn’t help and you should add yourself to an e90 group on Facebook and see if anyone can help your issue or possible even make you new key for much cheaper than bmw or what a shop would do good luck
If the car is not showing any codes, a new Fob battery and a good cleanup would be the first and the least expensive thing to do. It may be also worth it to check the car battery voltage at rest and when running. Often low voltage can make for funny behavior.
Thanks for the input, I actually just bought a new battery for the car , because I did hear that low voltage makes the electrical system wonky, kind of why Iv gone this long without messing with the key , but it’s still currently doing this, so I suppose I shall get a new battery for the fob ,
@@cliffordsawyer2994 Good for you. You are working on the problem one step at a time. I would fully charge the new car battery and code the replacement. Without coding the replacement car battery, the car will assume that you are using the old battery and would not charge it optimally.
Not sure why you have a vent tube for that system. My 2015 is a closed nitrogen filled system with an air tank under the bed just behind the rear axle. There shouldn't be a vent line unless the system was an air system prior to 2015.
It is sealed yes, but if the system thinks it is low on nitrogen for any reason the system pulls outside air in to fill completely, Iv gone in and out of these systems read thousands of threads and talked to many many mechanics about this issue ,
@@cliffordsawyer2994 Wow, that kind of defeats the purpose of a sealed system. I had the same issue as you when my truck was 2 years old (2017) and it was -15degF outside in Colorado. They replaced the compressor and valve block with a redesigned version, recharged everything and I haven't had any issues since then (fingers crossed). Do you operate your suspension often? Mine always goes into Aero mode several times a day and I always seem to be playing with it. You would think if they were going to allow it to pull in outside air, they would they would have some sort of desiccant to dry the air out first.
@@brianarant1309 agreed, and I think the “sealed” part is more like transmission “sealed” where if you knew what you where doing you could change/empty the fluid I think the same goes for this and this little fix hasn’t been around for very long all the dealership I spoke to said the last 3-6 years they completely stopped ordering air ride suspension due to cold weather specifically, but any where else in the world people absolutely love them, me including, Iv had struts and springs but NOTHING compares to the air ride , and to the “aero mode” yes mine goes in and out multiple times within my driving times I used off road 2 quite often because the snow plows love to build up massive walls so off-road 2 and lock the 4wd and over I go, one thing I have noticed as well as others who have messaged me personally was after putting a little bit of this stuff in there pump it’s much faster and smoother of a lift up and down,
Unfortunately I do not have any photos, BUT if your truck has this air suspension you can take my word for it, behind the rear passenger tail light there are 2 hoses 1 has a filter and one does not, take the filter off and drop some in and put the filter back, I had to hit a few bumps to get it shook up enough to melt and dissolve the water but it worked just fine no problems and still to this day no problems, last few days have been -5 still no issue
To add to this thread, I would say. Before you add the air line antifreeze & if you can get your truck into a warm location & get the air suspension working. Get the system into the transport mode or even the entry-level height. Then add the air line antifreeze to the inlet behind the taillight (filter end) this way the antifreeze cycles through a little quicker, but nonetheless it will make its way to where it needs to go, I would suggest a little capful of this stuff yearly to keep it working optimal. :-)
Going to try this. Thanks for the video. Had my air compressor replaced two years ago under warranty. Now it's starting to screw up again. I'm sure it's from frozen moisture in the system.
Sorry for the late reply, this video was from last year and all summer I have had zero issues with it , I live in northern VT and just in the recent months it’s been getting very cold and still no issue I have yet to plug the heat pad in ether , so 🤷🏻♂️ it’s got to be doing something, IF anything I’d advise you to use a little rather than a lot ,
It's mid January 2022, I've had this stuff in my air ride system for two months. Absolutely no issues. The truck seams to go up and down smoother than it did when it was new. Thaw your truck out in a heated garage, drop it down, locate the air intake hose behind the passenger side tail light, push your controls to take it up to off road level and put a capful of the antifreeze in the hose. I'm not an engineer but this does the trick on my truck. Thanks Clifford.
I have a 13 with the air ride and personally I hate it, lol. Was told it was charged with nitrogen but I don't think so as you can add air brake fluid to the hose which means it can't be a closed system and when it does come up to height it vents.
I absolutely love my air ride now that I figured it out, holds more weight , wash board is almost none existent and big bumps and dips in the road don’t slam your struts up inside your truck
I have no idea, best bet is to look on rams site or call them... from my understanding and from what I have been told from local shops is you can rent a tank and do it yourself , so apparently it’s not a super hard job or need any “official ram” tool or somthing crazy expensive
I read on a forum that someone said theirs was 85 and the dealer recharged much higher to 185. Take this as a grain of salt, as I heard this second hand.
Can’t remember off the top of my hand BUT I do remember it being on the top right side of the box , it most definitely will be labeled as “air compressor” or somthing of that nature
If you google the fuse box location for your year etc you should be able to find a diagram. It'll be typically right side edge, midway called F5 - (40amp) green (don't substitute a 50 amp) you can try a 30 amp if you have nothing else.
I though that perhaps that liquid who go through your air compressor and fuck it up or something. I drive semi truck but that system uses true air vs nitrogen which is used in these ram 1500 with air ride suspension. I have one my self but it is a 2015 1500 Laramie edition. Never had to use air brake fluid for it. And I live in Ontario Canada where we can get up to -40 and under up north here.
Uhm idk what that has to do with anything, you DONT fill a reservoir you put in just enough so the fumes evaporate the water..... in the lines, Iv talked to many different people and Iv read thousands of threads about this system and how it works , YES if you pour a entire bottle in the lines your going to mess somthing up, and IF ANYTHING your pro-longing the life of the valves and lines from the conditioners in the antifreeze, it’s been weeks and I have yet had an issue it’s been well under zero degrees for days at a time day and night and I hAvnt even had to plug the truck in
It’s really unfortunate, there such nice trucks Iv had a 2009 dodge with the shocks and leafs then a 14 with shocks and springs and now my 16 with the air , I wouldn’t trade the (ride) for anything , hopefully your problem will be fixed Good luck 🍀
How did that work for you putting a 50 amp fuse in when it requires a 40 amp? Personally, I wouldn't do that. I would imagine it could cause permanent damage to the expensive compressor. I couldn't get 40 amp jcase fuses so I opted for a 30 amp & used those til I could find some air line / air brake antifreeze.
Hi cliff tks for vidéo...my 40A fuse bluoff yesterday do you know why these fuses keepn Blowing??i try To jump the fuse and my jumper caught on fire. Mabe i have a wire somewhere not good....what do you think? Tks
You could have a Corroded wire going to your bags or compressor.... generally when fuses blow it’s one of 2 things electrical or somethings working harder than it’s supposed to, when I had first purchased the truck I had a problem and under your hood on the wheel wells you have what looks to be sensors and in side the rear wheel wells there are lift links jiggled those and it stoped blowing fuses , they were loose some how, but in my recent experience when the fuse would pop it was because there was moisture in my air lines and in Vermont it gets very very cold and it would freeze my valves open/closed vice versa so the compressor wouldn’t run ,
Tks for your answer its very kind and helpfull...i Will check all those thing you mention....me too its cold over here up north quebec canada...tks again
Currently I hAvnt had it plugged in at all , it’s still tied up on the compressor though, I was skeptical at first so anytime I got home after my drive I’d plug it in to a outlet outside , but then realized over time between my drives the truck was fine, ultimately I think once the air break antifreeze is in the lines your all set, I hAvnt had any issues since . Today the high was -8 “real feel” of -27 and the truck is fine, Thanks for watching
Anyone watching , I have been very busy to update BUT it has been nasty nasty cold and wet for the last weeks and I hAvnt had any issues since doing this, I hAvnt even plugged it in for the last week or so,
Very , movies like for instance avengers infinity war when thor comes out of the sky and lands the frequency of bass is intense and moves some air, or .ovies like kong the bass is tight and punchy , its a 12 it gets loud,
