It's a bit ridiculous the amount of time and effort the commentators spend on analysing the coin incident of that chip of Raymond Floyd. It is obvious that the ball came closer to going in after being deflected.
JC Snead hated foreign players being allowed to compete on the tour. He thought it should should be reserved just for the golfers of America. Tom Watson branded him a 'redneck'.
2:30:25 this moment is so beautiful for me. He thanks the crowd, exhales, and then you see the recognition on his face of what he’s just accomplished. For however superhuman Tiger may have looked, he’s still just another kid with big dreams who out-worked the doubts in his own head saying “it can’t be done”.
What a genuine lovely guy Jose is. Time really does move too fast the era of Jose and Seve along with Langer faldo etc was my favourite era for golf. Very emotional watch.
It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 and 30 years since he won The Masters. I was 12 years old when Freddy won in 1992, it was that tournament and Freddy himself that started my love for it. Every single year since it’s the one event I look forward to most. Time keeps sliding by and every year someone gets that jacket, I always think back to 1992. But I’m often reminded of 1999 when Jose won. In 94 when he won I didn’t really understand how big a moment it was, but in 1999, I understood how much it meant to their country and how he was the perfect man to represent the Jacket for his country. Such a class act and seeing him standing there waiting to embrace Rahm was a special moment to see. It’s just awesome to see how important this is for them and their country, it’s hard not yo root for them
amazing that Adam Scott ever won anything putting as poorly as he did his whole career. even here he missed buckets full of great chances and only really made two putts all day.
Chip Beck said afterwards, when you have a wedge in your hands, it’s a great opportunity to make a birdie. Trouble is - Langer also had that same opportunity. Beck needed to try for eagle here.
A bit of a shame that Knudson never won a major but in the immortal words of Bobby Locke, "You drive for show and putt for dough" and Archer could really roll his rock
21:26 I WANT TO BE IN A GOLF TOURNAMENT WHERE I CAN PLAY IN THE MASTERS AND GET TO MEET NEW GOLERS IN THE FUTURE AND I. WANT SAY THAT I HAVE PLAYED GOLF BEFORE BUT I WANT GET MYSELF MORE IN TO GOLF ⛳️.

The irony of that ball 'getting in the hole' is the fact for the first time in the history of American golf some moron didn't yell "Get in the hole!". Made that so much sweeter to watch.
Peter Kostis "And if the only thing Greg Norman has to do on the morning of what is arguable the most important day in his career is ring you and complain about me, he's more fukkced than I thought."
Ive just watched this. I'm not sure why everyone thinks Norman was terribly unlucky. He only got in to the lead during the last round v late on. He putted poorly on the first 9.
The most complete golfer of all time. Had all the shots when needed and even when not on his A game could still grind out wins including majors. Golf just isn't the same without Tiger out there, he was just impossible not to watch as he could do anything with the golf ball. It's such a pity he had the car crash as I am absolutely certain he had more wins in him but absolutely nothing can be taken away from his unbelievable legacy. Definitely the GOAT in my opinion 🐯⛳🏌🏾🔥
