Probably the best straight forward bottle jack repair video on youtube. Just rebuilt my jack with updated loaded u cupseals from "orings and more" very reasonably. Available in metric sizes as well and far superior to the import oem bottlejack seals. Thanks for posting!
I'm sorry, sir, but I wasn't going to say anything, but you kept saying I can't find parts. Just type in model 5520B 20 ton bottle jack rebuild kit. Has everything from top to bottom.
Thanks! I bought one of the log splitters that use a bottle jack and of course the jack started leaking, it's mounted on there so, kinda need that specific one to work. Gonna crack it open after seeing this!
I realize this is an older video, but I have to agree with you that they are near about a throw away item when they stop working correctly. IF you can find the unique "O" rings and seals, the typical cost is usually more than buying a new jack. But I still do try just for the fun of it...
CE, any chance you can help me identify my PTO and pump? On a ‘69 C50 with the SM465 4-speed trans. No tag on the PTO, but the casting/stamping on the PTO case appears to be Ci-p-223. Pump casting number is 10-10733D. Pump tag says it’s a model number 102-C-0726-C. Hoping to identify everything so I can get the leaks stopped!!
How do you adjust your planting depth? Use stops on the cylinder? We have used a van brunt for the last 5 years and it has a screw adjustment but I'm not fond ng anything like that on the 8350 we just bought.
Places like that where you really can't see very good them little mirrors come in handy stick it up in there see if the rollers on there and you're done I used not to use the mirrors at all but I found out they was pretty handy so I started using them especially in hard to see places a lot anyway dude I'm sure you probably have done this plenty of time so I'm just leaving a comment
Are these a geared type tractor... pick your gear for desired ground speed? Say like a 4-speed w hi/lo? Hydro drive? How wide are they with the front tires... tire outside to outside?
If you can flip the guts around to have the shaft come out the front, can you flip it around to work on the passenger side of the transmission? I'd love to have one run a hydrolic winch but my front drive shaft will definately interfere. Its a zf5 juat like yours,, just have a BW1356 on the back. Thanks!
I grew up on Diary Farm in Calumet and Fond du Lac Counties Wisconsin ( most of the land was in Calumet county ) House, barn and other buildings and some acres in Fond du Lac County. My dad and later two older brothers ( Partnership after Parents retired ) had used this same Gleaner combine. Oats, soybeans, corn. My Dad’s day he combined for neighbors and one time I remember it was Buckwheat. Dad also cash cropped Red Clover ( Cut with a mower first and dried ). When I was about 5 and 6 years old, Dad would let me come along and I would lean up against the glass watching the crop moving through the head. Wonderful childhood. Memories !! When I was older and into teenage years remember the long hours of field work. Thanks for posting !!
Hey Mr Smith i just bought a 4055 from 1991 , somebody messed up the wiring in the tractor and ruined cowl and the plastic on the dash (grrrrrrrr) the tractor has run 8150 hours and the tank is leaking from the bottom . so my first problem JD has run out of plastic to the dash , is there any second hand seller you can refer too . my second problem is the tank (haven't removed it yet) i suppose some JB WELD can fix the problem . but would you cut out the rotted part and seal it with JB WELD or would you sandblast it and then seal it or what would you suggest ( i have the knowledge to weld on diesel tanks) . i live in DENMARK , EUROPE and i like your approach to the problems in front of you . So have a very nice day . Ivan Hansen
