Just a guy who loves to take things apart to see their real value and Try to keep the metal from the landfill, one piece of scrap at a time. I am just your average guy having a little fun. I will curb scrap, dumpster dive and get calls for pickups. One of my favorite things to do is melt metals and pour Ant mounds tunnels. And we will hopefully be doing more of that this year. Much respect to the scrappers and Metal casters out there. Keep doing what your doing. And remember everybody leave it better than you found it. And please remember to be safe and respectful when you are out there scrapping. And lets grab that cash before it becomes trash. Let's do whatever it takes. And the extra cash is nice, please don't quote me on all technical things. there are professionals for that.

Hi, Good video. We had a freezer go out on us in the restaurant a few weeks ago. I didn't know the little black fan motor had copper in it. I thought it was all metal. I'm not sure sure if it's worth my time cutting it open to get the copper out. I have the tools to open it.
Nice size. I stripped a 1977 arc welder that was much easier- the heavy frame was put together so the coils just slid off after some brackets unbolted. The 4.5mm copper wire was coated only with braided cloth- I unwound the coils imto about 40' lengths, cut it into 2 foot sections and ran them several times through the stripper and the cloth wiped straight off leaving clean bare bright. That welder boasted copper windings on a sticker! Stripped a welder from the early 60's but it was all ally windings- just the welding cables were copper and a few brass fittings. Good video, but every move you do appears reversed when we view this, and maybe check for your sound recording it is unstable by times. In the maintenance, shouldn't it be a good thing to clean (De grease) the gear box and look for ware and tare once in a while ?

I haven't melted in a while either. Time to fire up our forge's. You have all kinds of goodies there. You get to the recycler you'll be taking the wife out to a nice dinner. :)

I didn’t add any oil, just followed the directions in the manual. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing…wondering what I am doing wrong
