Now you've had this beauty six months. What do you think ? I've had mine two years after some 30 BMW's, and smile just looking at it. The top has been down since May. Did the 3" in and out as well as an intercooler. Cherry on top is the Track Days Tuning in S.IN. recommended by Dom @ Parrott Bros. It dynos at about 260. More than enough.
I been slackin on the video content, but I am still enjoying the car. Just got the stage 1+ from Motoza. 3" Dp/exhaust and intercooler is the plan for me as well. I've had some boost leak drama and problems with a very expensive DV and horrible customer service from a vendor I won't mention. So that's just what's been goin on lately. But the top is down every chance I get and I am just enjoying it as much as I can.... More content to come soon! (I dig those wheels you got, My fave oem Mk1 wheel for sure.)
I've no content so you're way ahead of me. I just changed out the wheels for 9 spoke: 7.5" to 8" although I too prefer the fat 5's. . Adaptors for different bolt pattern. Bolts too long and bottomed out so wheels got wobbly fast. And, so it goes. We're hot rodeos with just the best cars. @@pnwfamchan
@@pnwfamchan Just did 284 miles participating with the local BMW club, driving the triple nickel and other twisties in S. OH Sun. See my grin. It was fun to be the only non-BMW, and after all, we're all car folk.
I will inform everybody on here that this does not work lies lies lies on the other hand it can work if you use more than two drops of tea tree oil. Just remember whatever size bottle you are using use a quarter of the bottle full of tea tree oil... I will repeat again it takes a lot more tea tree oil like a quarter of the bottle you are filling about 15 to 20 drops of lemongrass and about 15 to 20 drops of eucalyptus. You do not need Listerine Just water.
That’s so sad to hear I literally completely rebuilt my first Honda I ever had it was a 90 si hatch stripped it completely down to nothing and rebuilt it took me and my father About a year start to finish when I was 17 everything but paint was done by us literally the year it took we took our time so everything was done correctly and would drive like a brand new car smh so sorry to hear this it gives people who love to build a complete car a bad name just like most mechanics give others a bad name so much people have a hard time to trust a honest mechanic
now that it is 2 years later- did taking vitamin b 1 help keep the biting midges from biting you? And if it did how much /dosage did you take? Was or is there anything else you are taking or doing to keep them from biting you ? any information would be greatly appreciated!
Well the "show it off" video will be tonight as I JUST finished it, FINALLY. It won't be all that spectacular, but will be a wealth of info. via the description for those interested in tackling this, themselves... :) This fought me to the bitter end.....UGH, next time will be easier, but I can Definitely hold my breath until then if ya knowumsayn'....
Sigh, yes and no...... I wanted all the features of Apple CarPlay. (that's how this ish started) But by the time I installed a CarPlay deck and Frenched it in the way I wanted it to look, it would have been the same or even more work than a full on iPad like I'm doin. (and believe it or not, (the iPad) is slightly cheaper) At least with the iPad I can do WHATEVER THA FOKK I WANT and not be locked into what CarPlay allows me to do..... It's a slippery slope and the answer is NO, I DON'T find this enjoyable, BUT, with that said I am just keeping my focus on the end result. Totally unnecessary yes, worth it???? Time will tell....... Also, "Totally Unnecessary" seems like a great title to my personal autobiography, lmmfao!
@@lowlife7453 Just trying some things out, other RU-vidrs recommended settings. I think it works more for scenery that has like trees and twisties not so much what I was filming, just an experiment......
I made the same mistake! I wish I could see the video its so funny!! I'm thinking about trying the skunk2 solenoid to eliminate that top gasket and just use the one that mountsbetween the head.
Yeah, it will be missed that's for sure. It went to a good home though I know it's in good hands... Heck I saw it just today, bonus from living in a small town and selling it to a local.... LOL
No, it worked just fine, but I just had to do some ricer mod that I immediately ended up hating and went to UN-do. In the process, I messed up the face of the gauges so they had to be replaced.
I like how you call it a project car and it's cleaner than any CRX I've seen in person since they were brand new. Living in Ohio, all these old Hondas turned to rust buckets a long time ago.
LOL, what can I say, I have high standards. I sold it to a guy who loves it even more than I do, I know it's in good hands so I feel good about that. #savetheEF's
I've got about 4k into the setup. That's Front/Rear kit, Tanks, management, etc. If you join the Facebook groups etc. you can find used gear for way less. Depends on what you're looking for....🤷♂
If you have a lowered Accord, I recommend these yes..... For your specific problem, it sounds like an alignment is needed. (But these help you get back into factory spec as far as camber is concerned. ) These also help if your wanting to go all stance hot boy spec with hella camber, lol.
Hey, great video! I like the step by step process you did there. I do have a question though, I am about to bag my 19 accord and wanted to ask you about how you went about mounting the tank to the upper deck there? Thanks
Thanks, I just used Threaded inserts (nutserts). I marked where the hardware would need to bolt up, drilled my holes and inserted the nutsert using my nutsert gun. Then simply bolted them up. A vague explanation I know but I hope that helps anyway.....
Hey there. I've been watching TT videos for the past couple months and our stories are very similar. I'm a 52-year old Honda/Toyota guy that knows nothing about German cars, never owned one, but bought a 2002 TT Quattro 225 convertible back in October and since then have been trying to learn as much as I can. My TT had 59K miles when I bought it. It looks brand new and is super fun to drive. I wanted something small and sporty (fast) with front-wheel drive and that's what I got. I hope we'll be able to talk a little back and forth about this car, I also have the engine coolant sensor issue and have replaced it 4-times so far. And what seems like an easy fix can be tricky...those plastic clips break or get lost easily. I've looked online and like you say in the video, people say they tend to go bad, but 4-times in 3-months? I suspect there's an issue causing the sensor problem, maybe air in the coolant system or something, I don't know. Other issues I'd like to talk about. The glass fell out the top after 2-weeks...replacing the top was a bear and I can offer some advice about that, and a few other things. There's lots of videos on this car so we've got some information out there, parts are cheap and I figured I could do the work on my own. But it seems the famous German engineering might just mean over-engineering and making things complicated when it doesn't need to be. I'll keep and eye out for more posts!
Man a CRX cost money no matter what the CRX is a real simple special car wheels and tires made them look nice that simple even with out a paint job a CRX is a CRX real simple
