And when I was ten years old, I was rich, I was an aristocrat. Riding around in taxis, surrounded by comfort, and all I thought about was art and music. Now, I'm 36, and all I think about is money.
if you look hard enough you can find it, i found it on some russian website. I recommend against looking for them, they rip off a bunch of modern baseball songs; Re-Do, Re-Done, Hours Outside in the Snow, and Broken Cash Machine
if you think you’ve heard it before, you heard “swimming pool” by the front bottoms. mom jeans also used the line about cutting pants into shorts in their song “jorts.” both bands are amazing!
John Calcerano yep! I can actually send you the whole album if you dm me or something. I didn't want to upload it because of the small modern baseball conflict they had back then. They took down a bunch of their old stuff and I'm not uploading it out of respect. If I send you the album I only ask that you do the same!
It's really not one song, Just a lot of different TFB troupes, the 2 note progression, the use of uncomfortable and the line "you say you're happy but you only smile in your Instagram" is sort of a knock off of Maps with the "I hear you crying in your sleeping bag " line. If you want to find more songs kinda like this look at 'I hate my friends' and their self titled album, they come pretty close as far as inspiration for this song goes.
