Welcome to the Moving2Canada community. Each year, Canada welcomes hundreds of thousands of newcomers aspiring to settle in a country that celebrates diversity and welcomes immigration. The Moving2Canada community can help you realize your Canadian dreams.
Just like many before us, the Moving2Canada team moved to Canada for adventure and opportunity. We remember the uncertainty and the excitement of the new and unknown.
We secured work permits and jobs, discovered neighbourhoods and places to live. We get what it takes to make a successful transition from other countries and - together with our online community of contributors - we have created a network that offers objective, independent advice on all aspects of your move to Canada.
Hello, does the job offer have to be a permanent offer or it is okay to have a contract offer? I am currently working in Canada and I am working as a contract employee. My contract period is for 1 year, will this experience count towards the 1-year experience eligibility for the express entry or does it have to be an experience gained from permanent employment positions?
Thanks for your video - you forgot to mention anything around deductibles. If I purchase health insurance for my stay, can this have a deductible amount specified? Or can it not.
Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing great. I have a question, and I do not know if you guys have already discussed it. I worked from May 2023 to February 2024 (10 months) in McBride, BC which belongs to area 3. Due to my husband's work permit application, we were forced to leave my work and the town. Today is June 2024, and I have received a new job offer to work in Ladysmith, BC, which belongs to Area 3 as well. Located on Vancouver Island. But reading the BCPNP Guide from the government does not help me to answer my question. Since the guide stated this: Regional experience: To qualify for regional experience points, you must have completed at least one year full-time (or full-time equivalent) paid employment: • in Area 2 or 3 (i.e. outside of the MVRD) • within 5 years prior to registering with the BC PNP So my question is is this regional experience accumlative? In addition, it does not say it has to be related to the job offer I am using to apply for my BCPNP not the job experience does not need to be within the same job position.
As a temporary resident in Canada on a study permit, I find French language support lacking. Only permanent residents and Canadian citizens have access to the programs - at least in the bilingual province of NB. Otherwise, all else is as stated.
These minimum wages are the exact cause of inflation. Minimum wage is for highschool students to work at the pool in the summer. Its NOT a living wage. Stop acting like it is.
Warning ⚠️ there is no health care here!! It is dysfunctional and impossible. Nova Scotia Health gives us apps not doctors. Read the hospital Google reviews.
