Hello Sir! I really appreciate you very honest review, I am wondering to but Canon r5 soon for wedding photography. One thing I didn’t fully understand is DUAL CARD SLOTS, What is that really mean? According to information about canon r5 this camera has two card slots - one high-speed CFexpress card slot and one universally compatible SD card slot, So is question is what is missing? What Am I missing or didn’t understand. I appreciate the answer, Other photographers who knows more can also answer my question to help. Thank u ❤
No problem, having two forms of media allows you to create a back up in the camera while you’re shooting. It’s essential for one time events like wedding, photography or sports, etc..
Yes is the answer. In the UK 35yrs and still going - started with a MetzCT-45 - didn't everyone back then? Now use the following: Hass X2D100c (X2) Hass 907xCFV100c. watching this i can see your bias towards profoto the godox is easily better because of the price . if we doing a 1- 1 for price the godox ad1200 pro would destroy this profoto light
Thanks for very well done presentation. I downloaded Evoto, purchased 1200 credits and used the software on a headshot session I just did for a client but as much as this seems like a wonderful app, it also reduces the quality of my original photo/headshots. I'm very disappointed because the Evoto software doesn't appear to offer a remove background option and the finished effect is so grainy it's not a professional look. For example I adjusted a person's skin, removed bags/wrinkles, freckles and stray hair but major parts of the photo, like the ears, person's clothes and my gray backdrop have become very grainy/fuzzy. If I could post a sample of my experience here, I would. I'm really upset with this result.
Very useful video, if you share the setting for the photos when you show them would be nice to know what camera, lens , shutter speed , iso you are using :)

Hello, I'm coming from continuous LED lighting for headshots and wanting to switch back to strobe for full body portraits. You mentioned the B10 is great for headshots. Is it powerful enough for full body portraits with 1 or 3 people in frame? Ty
Constant light would be something I’m controlling. This is ambient available light. I have lots of articles on how to do this during the daytime you can read in Shutter Magazine as well as other videos here if you are interested in daytime photos.
Thanks Michael, I'm also from LA and shooting in harsh conditions outdoors can be troublesome sometimes. I own two A10's and one A2 and I can't complain about the lights at all as they are there for me when I need them to be when shooting portraits on location. However, I agree that for studio headshots I think a B10 or B10+ would be ideal. I need to push the A2 with an ISO of 100-200 to eliminate the studio environment (for headshots). Using the A2 as the main key light is just not ideal (in my experience) as I need to push that light to it's max power of (10) just to get an exposure. I don't like running my lights at full power, so my next investment will definitely be a B10 or B10 Plus (waiting on a promotion or sale lol). Power is key inside a studio space. Thanks for a good description on the R3. I haven't read all of the comments so maybe another has the same question? I would really like to know how big of a print you have made with the R3? How big can you go before you get disappointed? It should be uncropped or a just a little bit cropped. You could make a video about the differences between the R5 and the R3 in just print sizes of the same subject. Please answer me here if you got one so I get a notice. Thanks!
Thanks for this video, Mike. I have been using Evoto for a few months and love it. I have a situation where the body edit did not pick up a portion of one of the arms which was wrapped around the other subject. Not sure how to use the masking to take care of just that one area. Thanks in advance.
While I LOVE LOVE LOVE using Ai to edit my copy, since I use 35mm film exclusively to photograph my wedding clients and give a full set of proofs as standard, I'm not worried at all.... yet. As long as there are people who long for simplicity, long for nostalgia and people who appreciate physical media, Christopher Nolan being a huge advocate of psychical media in the mainstream, I should be fine for a cool minute.
7:45 I had a feeling the business classes are ghost towns at these things. Judging by every WPPI video on this platform only focusing on photo walks and gear. I live a handful of hours from Vegas and never thought of going to WPPI; I don't do well in large crowds. But this year (2024) I got me a free pass from the higher ups at Rangefinder and a buddy of mine is hooking it up with a comp room. So now, I have no excuse to not go. First time for everything as they say. But yeah, not looking forward to ANY photography class/demo as much as I am sitting in them empty business classes. Just gonna slap my iPod earphones while walking around drink on hand. 🙃
Using flash to fill a backlit portrait is flash 101 but I never thought of shooting a front lit portrait and creating the backlighting/flaring like you did. Thats really clever.
That photo with the lady in red is done in a studio with a santorini background. Fake. Where the cloning is done those are stairs where many peoole usually are so they had to cover it.
F#$$ megapixels.... its a power house....the autofocus system is the best out there... with an additional battery, I can cover a whole day event... and the handgrip is just perfect for those long work hours....
