why do companies invest time and money into developing their own OS when Google is already there? I guess to save money but then guess what in s few years your model will stop being supported and do you want an OS update? Sure just buy our new model
My US model that had Android TV for some reason is 3D ready already. I’ve watched some 3D movies and found performance to be good. I can compare it to my last UST the Epson LS500 and the 3D is an improvement. I found turning off motion smoothing important to get best picture in 3D mode but this was the same too with Epson. Not sure why motion smoothing in 3D seems to worsen image substantially but actually the stereoscopic 3D mode is already smoother than other content and does not seem to need any smoothing anyways even during panning. The brightness in 3D was also still good and makes me believe the 4,000 ANSI Lumens this review claims because that would be the same as the Epson I owned and I saw no diference. The color and darkness though was noticeably better.
Thank you very much for the review. About the remote control, is it bluetooth? I want to camouflage the projector inside a drawer that will open automatically and I would need to know if direct vision is necessary between the remote control and the projector (infrared)
Can it be mounted in ceiling upside down? UST projectors are not planned for this purpose, just wanted to clarify this part. Thanks. Edit: Sorry. Got it clarified @12:28 timeframe. Its supported. Thanks for clarifying it.

@@cordcuttercam dunno seen a comparison here on RU-vid and all calibrated and contrast was one of the lowest. Also it loses some brightness after calibration but the red push is crazy

@whitecrowuk575 there's a difference between watching a comparison from a year ago vs me who has the device and uses it everyday alongside getting tons of updates as well , I can assure you what you saw is not what the projector looks like right now , you probably watched the video from "the hook up" channel which was before the many updates the projector received
Wouldn’t doubt if there was a back door deal made somewhere for the awol to be hyped up this much AND defended as so. The black levels on the Formovie blow the awol away in person with proper settings. Don’t let this review fool you. Also remember that awol threatened a lawsuit to keep their projector off the AVS forum shootout because they weren’t crowned champ the one year they were in it. The more you know.
I currently have the px2-pro and very happy with it. When the px3-pro was announced they said it would be 3D compatible. Is this still true as this would be my reason to upgrade to the pro3? Great review by the way. (UK release date?)
Great video. Excellent camera work and close up, helps to see how it will look in my home. This projector is on my short list and will likely be getting one in a month or 2, after more info on 8k ust and other models. Your video is very close to in store demo. A few more details would be lens shift, input latency test, and 150' inch screen, would make a good sequel video and compare image on both. Ust @ 100 inch screen is obsolete review standard that nobody runs at home, especially when same size tv is cheaper. Keep up the good work 😀
Great video! Thanks, keep it up It looks very classy. Does it support HDR10+? The fan noise is a little higher than de average (35db) Waiting a comparision vs Awol 3000 pro
@@HomeEntertainmentSG i am looking to buy gaming n movie i have short lists few Formovie s5 Benq th685 Benq gp100a All this i am buying pricing here are little compared to other markets looking for best value product Can you suggest ?
Hello!!!! Thank you for your work. I was not wrong in my choice to order the viewsonic lx700. It really is brighter and more vivid in color. And that is very important to me. Overall, the x2-4 looks nicer, black body color, hidden buttons. Plus the menu and remote of x2-4 looks more modern. The lx700 looks like a step backwards in this regard, it's simpler on the outside. But the image quality of the lx700-4K is better than the x2-4k. Again, this is purely my opinion. Just ordered the lx700-4K today and can't wait for it to get here ))))
Epson sues Formovie on their false lumens specs. Declared lumens is at 2800 while the true lumens is at only 1800. news.epson.com/news/formovie-lumens-projector-settlement
If one is only using this in a dark room and limiting to 100", seems like the 3000 lumens would be sufficient. And one can't tell if it is darker than the 3500 without having the 3500 next to it. So one can't really get Lumen envy.
Wow .. superb review.. you saved me bro.. i was planning to buy this in India.. thank you.. you earned a new subscriber ... one request can you make a similar video with Epson ls650 UST projector.. its my second option.. it will be great help..❤
I have the Viewsonic 701 4K for 2 years. Games and movies look crazy. Very bright, sharp and colorful. I had Vanyko, Yaber, and others projectors before. Viewsonic destroyed all of them
Hi. Really enjoyed your reviews on this model and the LX700-4k. Looking forward to the third video where you will compare them together. Can you please tell me when this video is expected?
For this to be a good test, you should lock exposure to expose the 3500 properly with no blown out highlights, and then we can really compare brightness. With this setup, 3500 looks bad because your auto exposure is adjusting to the 3000, which appears to show more detail, but I am guessing it actually doesn't.
Hi quick question , as soon as i plug this into my laptop will it just automatically display what on my laptop screen, id like to use this for powerpoint but this would be my first projector, would love some advice please.
The one on the right is flickering and has rainbow effect and it is obvious. Yes the color is deeper or darker but accurate color is better on the left. I simply don't think projectors should have speakers as it vibrates the cheap motherboards. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for taking the time to make this comparison, it gives the user a better view of what they prefer. I do not have a projector but will be buying on later this year when my house built. My impression of what I saw was that they were closer than you thought and lent towards the Formovie. I did not like the reddish tint on the AWOL which was very clear at 7.48 on the coping, 7.52 on the thread and 8.05 on the ceiling . On the latter the greens and golds were far better too. Looking at other videos I think this is while the greater brightness is great for more ambient light scenarios, it is not so good in a dark room. So while the AWOL may be better for some buyers it may not be for others. I would be interested in hearing others comments on this.
