With the aim of stepping up the ongoing hip hop scene in the East Side, Jamshedpur Hip Hop TV was formed as a community in September 2018. The founders shared the common vision of a more ethical, grassroots- led hip hop scene. So they set up Jamshedpur Hip Hop TV as a community that would promote the artists of the East Side to produce progressive music. They wanted to form a platform that pushed unheard voices from the margins to the forefront. Jamshedpur Hip Hop TV looks for raw artists who are telling stories that you don't usually find in the music space. The stuff that comes out is so organic and homogenic and the stories they are telling all feel the same. So the idea was to find and put out raw music and artists that gave a more accurate representation of what things are like in the eastern side of the country.
We envision a community where hip hop music and local artists thrive, and people out there acknowledge the existence of the East side Hip Hop scene.
