So unbearably cute! And it stayed interesting! I watched all the way to the end, riveted. I am rooting for these tiny babes. Cute as buttons.

I made a 48x48 "oops I missed the store bought target" backstop to go behind my actual bag target to save my fence in the event of a really errant shot. I put two layers of outdoor carpet on the front of a cardboard box full of cardboard and other stuff I shoved into it. It stops arrows from my 50 lbs draw compound bow just barely, but the arrows are VERY hard to pull out of the carpet. I wouldn't want to shoot it all the time on purpose. Too much of a pain to remove the arrows. I only shot it to test it.

nice target....easy to make and the price is right. my target is a cardboard box filled with rags.....it's cheap too but gets the job done

It would last a bit longer and the arrows wouldn't penetrate as deeply if you had it hanging while you shot it, instead of having it laying against a backstop.

That might stop a kids bow... But what about a compound crossbow at 370fps its not going to stop the bolts
@garywhitby43
@garywhitby43 7 лет назад
yeah it does. stops my compound no problem at all
@weshysell8160
@weshysell8160 6 лет назад
How fast is your arrow going? My bolts are traveling 370fps and they would go right through that 🎯 ...
@deepcanadian1633
@deepcanadian1633 6 лет назад
I highly doubt a bolt would go through that.
@weshysell8160
@weshysell8160 6 лет назад
Well as thick as it is I built one that was similar to this that was 18in thick with cardboard and slats of carpet in between and I tell you one thing at 40 yards at 370 feet per second it went through that 18 in of cardboard with carpet and still went into a 12in styrofoam archery target so I would put my compound crossbow up against that challenge any day of the week
@aristotelian9693
@aristotelian9693 6 лет назад
His bow is only shooting at 30lbs. He says so in the video. So no, it will not stop anything more than a kid's bow.

how easy is it to pull the arrows out of the target
@garywhitby43
@garywhitby43 8 лет назад
depends on how close or how strong your bow is.. but generally with an arrow puller they come out fairly easy.
@marcushennings9513

Yeah and that will need constant replacing and if the cardboard is hard to come by there may be an issue.

I guess this is why this gimbal is $20 and not $399.If failed pretty badly. Lots of vibration or shake in the video.

So after you have the gimbal setup and working from the KK2.1 how do you get it to work with the RC transmitter or is it supposed to just stay level without any control from the ground?

Wouldn't mind some tips mate. Marcdryewindowcleaning@gmail.com. Mine isn't easy to fly. It's like flubber. U push the left stick and it doesn't even fly it's like a bouncy ball/flubber 100mph bouncing off walls and ceilings. Any suggestions? I've just ordered a hubsanx4 with camera. I've given up on this Skywalker.

Marc Drye remote is pretty sensitive so small movements but with practice you'll get it.

Thanks, i bought and assembled this very item. The fit was poor at best and required a file and a razor blade. But it was a decent gimbal once completed. My only wish was hobbyking would supply a vibration mount for it. Thats what the round holes on top are for. Yet they dont seem to have anything for this gimbal. Im going to try to use some foam tubing to see if I can make a vibration mount.

I can hear that the motor or props are way out of balance. If they were balanced correctly this video may have been better. Brushless motors are the way to go for sure but servos are just fine for beginners and budget minded people once everything is balanced.

Neat project. A little on the "yawn" side thru the bolt-up..hehheh. Hey the parts about the m5,m7, and m8 servo and kk2 connections were a little foggy for me. Any help? I guess one of the dislikes was the guy who may not have realized you were TRYING to build a $20 gimbal just to show it could be done. It was a little shaky. Do you have isolation mounts on it now? Thanks. Sub'd.
