We are the global golf couple. Currently travelling in our landrover defender, Andi the Landy around Africa playing golf and sharing knowledge with adventurers and golfers all over the world. Challenge - play 100 African golf courses, but also show where to stay; camping or luxury, but also what tourists and non golfers should see - but might not know about. Join us on our journey by subscribing. Thanks Sarah and Steve @travellifestylegolf Just two regular golfers
Hey Sarah and Steve, How good were those 3 golf courses!!! They looked in fantastic condition. The hotel and its food looked fantastic 😍😍 My golfing bucket list is going to need a bigger bucket lol. Cheers Joe
You’ve a good eye for quality Andrew bonanza is amazing, the whole resort is and when coupled with Lusaka GC and Chainama Hills, it’s a neat package. Glad you enjoyed our Lusaka golf video, next we’ll show what else to do in Zambia- think you’ll be adding Zambia to your bucket list! Enjoy
Just come back from a week at belle Mare Plage….3 rounds at Legends and 2 at Links. Stunning golf….amazing condition…two 76’s and a 78 and no balls lost on the first round.
That’s fantastic Ian, so happy you enjoyed your golf and your time there- we did too. Really happy to have helped you get eyes on these courses before going too- so happy for you. Continue to play well 👏🏻
I know and who knew how great Zambia Is for golf! We’ve loved the country and loved travelling around in Andi the Landy Check out our other Zambia golf video which is about 3 golf courses- and more of course! In and around the capital city, Lusaka- think you’d love them too?
Hey Sarah & Steve, Brilliant Botswana!! You stayed at some great places and the food looked YUM!!! The amount of wildlife was amazing. Awesome scenery beautifully captured. Cheers, Joe
Thanks so much Joe It’s an incredible place for everyone, especially when you love wildlife. There was even hippo in the water! Such an amazing place to share. Andi loved the salt pans too- ok it was steve who loved them but what you can’t see is the elephant on the edge of the pans watching us drive around! Such a fantastic experience and so happy to share with you Thanks for watching
A very interesting mix of courses. Resources, both financial and mechanical obviously dictate the condition of each course. Just take it as is, play, enjoy.
That’s exactly right- we’re here to show golf, all is enjoyable. Even those course with so few members or lack other income streams put on a good show- especially bearing in mind how harsh the African conditions are too- hope you like the fact that we show a good mix?
It’s our pleasure so happy you enjoyed our first golf video on Zambia- such a diverse country with very diverse golf offerings too- thank you for watching Sarah and steve
Brilliant guys!!!! We love those dirt country courses, and have played quite a few of them in Australia 😀 Namibia looks absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to travel and play golf there! All our best, Menekse and James
Hey Sarah and Steve, Thank you for sharing. The people from Afriyea Golf Academy do an amazing job. I follow them on Instagram. The kids are a joy to watch. Cheers Joe
They are great and getting the chance to meet them first hand and help teach these children is joyful and humbling- so glad we took time out and met in uganda- if you get the chance you might like the blog too?
Thanks so much Yvonne- to be honest we tend to produce these videos to entice people to think about a location for golf and more. But in our experience travelling around Africa green fees range from as little as $5 upwards. But things in Africa have a tendency to change all the time!😂
Thanks Joe- so glad you enjoyed watching this video- we think it’s the only one out there showing all the golf in Namibia? But you’re right, there’s some very different types of golf in a very different African country- we’ll show you more about that in the next video
Such a stark contrast it’s like a reverse photo negative- thanks for watching and enjoying- we couldn’t find another video showing all the golf courses in Namibia?
A real bone shaker of a road interspersed with a nice campsite and our entry into another African country- hope you liked the music change? thanks so much watching and enjoying S&S
A Gary Player 1970’s designed course…fun facts - Elephant Hills was a 20 roomed hotel back in the 70’s when Richard Burton & Liz Taylor spent some of their honeymoon…a few years later the hotel was mortared from Zambia, across the Zambezi , by Rhodesian African freedom fighters during the liberation war…the hotel remained closed and derelict for almost 2 decades before the new hotel was built in the 90’s.
Oh no , you missed playing the most spectacular course in the country- the famous Leopard Rock Hotel and and Peter Matkovich golf course in the Vumba mountain region of the eastern highlands….as she stood on the hotel terrace overlooking the Burma valley into Mozambique “There is no where more beautiful in Africa - Queen Mother 1953
Not so much missed as not invited- but as we were in the Vumba region we went to take a look and our observations at the time were its looking dog eared and pay its best. Ripped flags on the greens, ingress of creeping grass into the greens and a run down looking (and permanently closed) pro shop with furniture tumbled all over. The hotel looked tired too - we did try to play here as we’d heard good stories, but it wasn’t looking inviting when we took a look to see why they didn’t want us to include this course?
@@TravelLifestyleGolf That is such a shame, what a spectacular and manicured resort back in the 90’s - best golf course in Africa back then if I’m not mistaken…Sadly , Zim has been used and abused since.🥲 glad you enjoyed thee other courses.
Checkout WestProp Holding RU-vid channel and recent launch of THE HILLS LUXURY GOLF ESTATE in Harare - another Peter Matkovich designed course…a USPGA international standard course and first five star branded hotel/residential estate in sub Saharan Africa… it’s going to be an outstanding golfing experience in a few years to come….Nick Price redesigned Royal Harare back in the 90’s.
Hey Sarah and Steve, Nice little course to test your short game. The food looked delicious, and the accommodation looked wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Joe
