I'm representing myself against a family of landlords who wrongfully evicted me on the day their son/nephew committed arson against me. He was convicted of the crime and got a slap on the wrist and court ordered restitution. I've never received a penny from him in over a year. On the day of the arson I was left homeless, lost my beloved pet in the fire, and all of my belongings. Three years later and over $20,000 in diplacement costs, I filed a civil suit against my ex, the landlords, and the estate of the property owner. I've tried finding a lawyer to represent me but have had no luck. Your videos have given me hope and belief in myself that I can recieve the justice that the state failed to provide. With all due respect, this definition of what's a leading is the number one misconception among trial attorneys and judges. There is no rule that says you must ask open ended questions. Direct questions that get to the point are not necessarily leading. A leading question has to assumes an answer is true and tries to get the other party to agree with it "You were at the bus stop, correct?" is leading. Asking "Were you at the bus stop?" is not leading. You are allowed to prep witnesses; there is literally no point at not allowing direct questions to be asked on direct

I love this dude!! im pro se and ive been in the ringer for a bit! whole complaint was jacked up because of lack of skills 2xs. the judge denied my amended complaint but gave me directive as to follow. I came back well prepared and it got approved. couldn't of done this without people like you who do these videos!!!! now im finally onto discovery, yup! ill be studying your videos a bit more! Also came here because of the Depp/Heard trial. Even though I love this lawyers energy and reasoning, it seems so inauthentic when Heard makes it a point to look directly at the jury. Like she's trying to manipulate and ham it up for the jury.
Speaking as a formar juror, people directing all their testimony to the jury box feels akward and manipulative. When the issue is facts, and you are being questioned by council, answering to us feels ingenuine. Like you are telling us a story, a tale, a lie. Sure, not acknoleging us also felt weird, but mostly the less the better. I had nearly forgotten about how weird it was until I saw it again in the Depp/Heard trial, and was likewise put off. I can see how it may ocassionaly have more impact, but it really depends on the witness.
