Buying a direct drive washer is a great investment, as it washes better, less conputerized, cheap parts that can be found and baught easily. And the repairs are not that conplicated.
Matt it was the shift actuator wen I did the tachometer test the lights wasn’t chasing each other so I ordered the part from Amazon a $20 part easy fix now it works like brand new mahalo for all ur knowledge and videos it really helped me a lot🤙🙏
much of the issue with newer washing machine is operator error. Consumers are not educated on how to use newer high-efficiency machines and inevitably end up using them improperly. Thanks for watching!
Hi! I actually have the identical Maytag washing machine and dryer in my apartment building. I finally found the right service door key, I got the lid off but when I pressed the button it only displayed the price of the load. In general, when the lid to the service door came off it just displayed the time. I keep pushing the button but nothing is happening, I don’t see any other things to press or mess with. Am I doing something wrong?
I am a little confused as to what might be going on. The plunger switch shouldn’t have to be depressed in order to do too much to these types of machines.
Thank you sir my friend had one I put it in but the same thing happened on rinse mode it starts to spin then shuts off my friend said it must be the actuator cause tried the Tachometer test and it doesn’t read anything
Rite on thank you for replying it calibrates correctly I jus found out my capacitor is not good I jus changed it gonna give it a shot soon looking forward to ur videos 🤙have a wonderful & blessed day
That’s great. I’m glad you figured out what was wrong. Often times when you replace a part, you might have a code that needs to be erased. But try calibrating it after you put in a capacitor. We can get one for you if you need to order one.
Hello sir like ur video I have a question ok I did everything you did Excactly wen I put the knob to only the rinse light is on I pressed the start button and it doesn’t do anything no flashing lights it jus doesn’t respond tried it several times any advice would be appreciated 🤙
Are you having problems with your machine? Or did you just try to calibrate it? There’s a chance that you have an error code in the system and it’s keeping it from calibrating properly. We are currently building a video on how to check the codes.
Actually I’m not a huge fan of fabric softener but if you’d like to use liquid fabric softener you may want to look up the manual for the particular machine that you have. You can find it online. That should tell you where the liquid fabric softener goes. If you’d like to give us the model number, we can maybe help you find that information.
You are correct. Front load washers physically wash garments in a different manner. We actually just posted a video on how to load a front load washing machine. Check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EWqGfQyWYH0.htmlsi=B5svDyoaEceEzi0V
The old direct drive will be washing clothes when that new he piece of shit has long since blew a nut,he machines are a joke they do not wash good, there not built good, they are outrageously high priced,i fix older washers and dryers i wont even stop to pick up a new he machine on the side of the road they always cost at least 2-3 hundred dallors to fix plus i wont sell one to a customer because there a piece of junk,i cant keep the older machines fixed and in stock because they do such a good job washing they honestly wash your clothes clean facts
Modern machines whether it be a car or an appliance or a cell phone are certainly built differently than they used to be. However I would argue that a lot of the issues that people have with modern laundry machines is operator error. Thanks for watching!
Did the laws change? Two years ago, I purchased a GE top load washer with an agitator and water levels that I control. It works exactly like any old school washer I used from 1960s onward.
A standard machine can typically do towels. Towels can get pretty heavy so you certainly don’t want to overload your machine. As for blankets, I don’t put any blankets in my machine.
Thank you for the video. It has been 2 years since I have been doing my own consumer research and testing things out and looking at different machines. The amount of green washing and eco scare also ruins machines like no tomorrow. I live in Europe and I run a 60 degree cycle very, very often with the occasional 90 every end of month with a cleaner to make sure no gunk or fabric softener remains. Washing only in cold is terrible in my opinion, packing the entire machine also is some kind of eco-mindless tip that just doesn't make sense anymore. So taking care of the machines does require some research in my opinion since they will clean your clothes, or not if the machine itself is dirty, moldy and has multiple strands of bacteria and viruses on the drum or inside the machine
Laundry machines are tools. And just like any tool, they need to be used as they are designed. Modern machines can be very finicky. Thanks for watching!
When I opened up the panel and pressed and held the right button for the first time, all the lights did light up but ever since if I want to troubleshoot and press the right button, nothing happens at all, none of the lights turn on, do you might have some idea on whats going on?
The house we bought had an old 20+ year old washer/dryer set. The dryer kept dying so we just got them replaced last week. The washing machine still worked great. Im not quite used to how LONG our new HE washing machine takes. My god, over an hour! Lol when I have 3 loads of laundry to wash, it suuuucks having to wait so long.
U know it’s bad when the reason and need for all this washing detergent smelly crap they sell now is to mask the fact their new garbage HE machines won’t actually clean the clothes well enough to get the odors out so they sell u perfumed crap that’s toxic to put on and wear so that I think ur clothes are clean but really just adding more toxic poisons into the environments we live in….nice ….so much for what’s best for our well being….apparently that is what costs us more money and not actually about keeping anyone healthy and safe and not broke af
Check out some of our other videos. If you use a high-efficiency machine properly, you actually don’t need that much soap and other detergents or perfumes. New machines and detergents only really require you to use about 2 tablespoons of laundry detergent. I do think that often times the other perfumes and additives are just a way to sell more stuff. Thanks for watching!
we had a modern top load we used for almost a year, clothes came out unwetted unless we used the bulky setting and deep fill option for every load, and it took an hour and a half to finish the cycle. Eventually replaced it with a brand new Speed Queen, we put a load of previously clean towels in to see if it would strip any dirt out and the water got filthy. First week we ended up re-washing everything in the house, it was all so dirty and it's so nice to have clean clothes and towels that actually feel great to use once again. Never making that mistake again, even though the Speed Queen costs $1000 more it's worth it.
Damn! Why can’t the gov stay the eff out of our appliances!? This is getting ridiculous! All I want is a damned washer that’ll clean my clothes and not always be breaking down!
I have an electronic whirlpool stove/oven. I am getting an F9 code. Took the back off, took to circuit board out got the clock back bit still no heat from oven or units. Board seeks to look OK too, tho some of the plugs important the board are bad. No juice. Should those just need replaced or is there a main one for it?
What is the F9 code on your particular machine? I’m a little confused as to what you’re trying to say in your comment. Feel free to call the store and ask for Matt. 219-465-6483 if you have your model number and serial number, that might be a big help as well.
I have one of these machines and I hate it! Wish I had done my research and purchased a front loader. This machine does so much agitate the clothes as it irritates them. I have a king size bed - the sheets get air bubbles and never lose them - not at all happy with this purchase
Try doing the sheets individually. I know that means more loads but it could help. Front loaders a great. They do have their disadvantages tho. Check out our front load video. Thanks for watching!
I would load the fabric softener wherever the manual for your particular machine suggests to load it. At the same time, I’m not even a big fan of fabric softener and don’t even use it.
Hello, i have an issue with that exactly model of Maytag Washer, the issue is that when i insert the coin on cofig mode it shows the * every time i drop a coin, but when i close the and is con the 25C and i insert the coin it nothing happen, i put the 6 01 on 6 00 to check if the washer is working and all functions are correct, just the coin is insert nothing happen do you know what could by the issue and in case it needs a piece for repair is posible to get it from you?, Thank you for the help on this.
Hello, thank you for the answer, do you think there is possible way to solve this?, i have test with another coin drop from a maytag dryer with the same plugs and cable colors and doesn't work, and i test the coin drop of the washer on the dryer and is working just fine, for some reason on the config mode it detects as * the coin, but in normal mode it doesn't activate, is like the coins not where detected, i check every configuration on the manual for the model MAH21PDDWW, i think maybe is the motherboard, i try to reset the washer with holding delicates but still not working, do you know if there is a something like hard reset fabric mode or something more hard to reset the washer, i really appreciate you advise. Thank you.
Wow. I'm 72 years old, having been doing laundry since I was 6 and I still needed this video on how to load my new machine. Thank you! What about sheets? Can I put two king sized sheets in together with pillow cases?
The wash plate machines, a.k.a. machines without an agitator, are not designed to thoroughly scrub blankets and comforters. They also get really heavy and wreak havoc on the machine.
@@affordableappliances3082 so if they're not designed to washed blankets well and they will mess up the machine, then how should you wash your blankets if you have an impeller machine?
We'll they aren't very efficient then are they if you can only fill it 30%....I thought a 9kg machine washes 9kg of clothes...but you're saying it only washes 3kg of clothes....omg very efficient indeed....
In this video, we fill this washing machine from a full family sized laundry basket. So you can still do a traditional size of laundry in a typical domestic machine with no agitator. However, I will agree that the volume of the tub can be misleading. Thanks for watching!
Gee I thought technology was suppose to improve things so you fill it 30% and wash more and use more water has the world gone totally insane...thought the idea was to reduce water..not use more...total madness imo...my 23 year old MAYTAG we would fill it up and it washed beautiful....warning don't buy a machine without agitator they're rubbish I just bought one used it once and it's a nightmare ...
In this video, we fill this washing machine from a full family sized laundry basket. So you can still do a traditional size of laundry in a typical domestic machine with no agitator. However, I will agree that the volume of the tub can be misleading. Using a machine without an agitator is a different experience, and it physically washes clothing differently. That’s why we made this video. We want people to be able to use their machines most efficiently and keep them for as long as possible. Thanks for watching!
