These cars are gorgeous! What is unusual is you actually have the clear tail light lenses! Do you know how rare that is? Early in the 1965 model year, these all had clear tail light lenses, but the lenses would crack. Therefore, in the later part of the 1965 model year, they went to red tail light lenses. The dealers would replace the lenses with red lenses if the customers wanted them to. Most of them were replaced. It is very unusual to see a 65 New Yorker that still has the clear tail light lenses! How does yours still have them?
I have a 68 ford galaxie 500 4 door sedan. It has a 390 but the engine is seized from sitting. I think I can unblock and getting it running again. That would be glorious.
We had a 1965 New Yorker 4 door hardtop in all gold and a 1965 300 2 door hardtop in all green. I don't remember what the interior was. I was only 8 at the time. Imagine a driveway with these two parked on it.
Now with the new EU anti tamper laws ( 2021 ) being applied retrospectively nearly all HD bikes are illegal, the German police demand all parts are E marked or official parts from the manufacturer and the rider carries with them all approval paperwork to produce when stopped, this also applies to foreign registered bikes so beware when riding through Germany now as if the part is a critical part like levers mirrors exhaust air intake they will demand you get the vehicle off the road and will take your keys if you do nor arrange the transport yourself. These same laws are coming to the UK soon so expect the police in the UK to be just as strict when it comes to modified motorbikes. Events like this get an exemption as a "show" but outside of the " show " all bikes must be fully legal to be on the roads, those who know trailer or van the bikes to the " show " then back home again or risk losing it.
MEGA GEILE ZEIT !!!
