I bought a product called canine Aspirin it’s supposedly safe for dogs. I have a 13 year old Jack Russel and I think he’s in a little pain, I have always walked him quite often. Do you recommend this or think it’s safe?? He’s all I have..
My 11 week old German Shepherd puppy was just diagnosed today with knee dysplasia in both hind knees and hip dysplasia in her left hip. 😭 wd caught it early, so I'm hoping that she can still have a full, healthy life.
Do calluses go away? My dog fractured her elbow and was in a splint for 8 weeks. Aside from sustaining cuts where the fabric rubbed against her skin, she had this black mark on the fractured elbow. I initially thought it was a bruise, but upon further research, I learned it was a callus from her elbow rubbing up against the splint for 8 weeks. It has bot bubbled, it's just black and a little rough.
DO NOT give RIMADYL/CARPROFEN to your dog. The side effects can be lethal. My GSP became paralyzed after only a few days on this drug. Liver failure, kidney failure .... the list goes on. SO MANY DOGS DIE BECAUSE OF THIS DRUG. BTW, Pfizer developed this drug and it was once used in humans - but no more. Hmm...
I say this not because i necessarily dont belive the Amazon ones won't work but there is proof vets don't like recommending alternatives as an example my breeder years ago said i can pick something up at the chemist and give them a small dosage (rhis is common knowledge) yet the vets would charge 5 x the amount to use their recommendation
Is there proof the ones on amazon at £150 don't work ? If someone invests £20,000 in a machine of course they dont want you finding a cheaper alternative. Rather than use ours don't use this show examples or explain why not. It makes absolute sense you wouldn't purchase something at such huge cost then recommend cheaper alternatives or you wont get money back on the £20,000 investment
My 8month old labs hip dislocated and it turns out he has hip dysplasia. They tried popping it back in place but it didn’t work so they said he needs surgery. Should I do this instead of the surgery even though his whole hip is out?
Was about to do surgery on my dog. Put him on the X-39 patch and it worked wonders. Unbelievable results. YT will not let me say anything else about it . Just look it up . I tried to give more info on it but YT removed everyone. I can not even tell that he has hip dysplasia now.
Yes. I also could not find any directions and tore the liner when I tried to assemble it. A 45 minute struggle. They sent me a new liner but I have the inconvenience of; removing the old one, putting on the new one and then shipping back the torn one. Otherwise, nice bed.
Nice bed. My bed didn’t come with any cards or stickers or directions. I found this video after I had broken the zipper on my new bed. Customer service sent me a new cover which was great. I also recommend you buy the waterproof liner. I bought mine after the fact. I think for the price they should include the waterproof liner just my opinion. The bed itself is very nice and my 80lb German Shepherd likes it.
I had the same experience with no information or paperwork with the bed so I went for it and was frustrated until finding this video. I thought the bolsters went inside the waterproof liner until realizing that wouldn't work. Took it back apart and the zipper jammed so I struggled but got it free. Then I tried to figure out the insterior pockets but it didn't make sense until seeing the video. That zipper jammed as well but also got it free - not confident the zippers will last after 1st try jammed twice. I think a heavier, coarser zipper might be better. 3rd try was a sucess after seeing it done. Overall the bed looks great, now hoping our lab likes it. My only reservations are the longevity of the zippers, noticed loose stiching along the zipper which is getting caught in the closure as well as the flap on the backside jams, and washing the cover will involve removal of the bolsters and the zipper challenge each time. Fingers crossed, as we hope it works out, since it is much better support than the cheap ones we have used for years and Kalin is getting older. Thanks
She so gets it, there are not many people who understands that dogs are not humans, they live by dog rules and if you want to truly know who they are you have to try to understand their world.
This is a great video 👍 it's frustrating. I have an 8 month old black lab who was diagnosed a month ago. He's so handsome and sociable. But when i see him limp i feel terrible because he wants to play. I can tell he is frustrated. Hoping my insurance covers hydrotherapy while we wait for him to fully grow and then have the surgery to remove the ball at the end of both his femurs
So sad that is so young! We hope the hydrotherapy works out!! Our Big Barker beds are also clinically proven to show an improvement in hip issues and come with a 10 year warranty!
@@Bigbarker Thanks I recently bought the xl, any tips on getting the cover on or do you have a video? It takes me a quite a bit if struggling to get it on. Thanks
Yay, King Edwin! You deserve all the best in your life, and hugs and kisses to you! And for all the people who hurt you, well, all the worst. People who do this really suck!
I have a 3 year old maltipoo that weighs 19 pounds. He’s recently been experiencing symptoms of hip dysplasia and when they took him to the vet they said it could be that. We’re not in the best place to afford for surgery. And my family doesn’t know how to get pet insurance for him. So we’re trying to find ways how to help him.
The same thing happened to my dog, get her Cosiquin!!! It changed my dogs life, idk why these vets are not recommending it. It’s a strong and effective joint supplement and it helps them walk and run again.
Nah not really unless you did a bad form and injure your back or your bones then it’ll stunt your growth, but nevertheless in general lifting weights increase your growth hormone which helps your growth.
@@hat6119 yes you will still grow just do those stretch online, and don’t hunched your back so you can get to your optimal height. As long as there isn’t an injury to your bones u will still grow.
I give my gsd cosequin and salmon oil in her food as well as the vet profin and gabapentin. She has arthritis in her right hip. I also give her Dr Marty's propowder mixed in her food. I am doing everything I can to help her stay mobile. I also bought her a big barker dog bed, but she doesn't always sleep on it. She prefers to sleep by the heater vent under the kitchen sink. I don't know why she does this, except for the heating element. It seems to me the bed would be more comfortable for her. But then again, you never what is going through a dog's mind, you know?
Hello Pat! While most dogs love the bed right away, it's not uncommon for some dogs to take up to a few weeks before getting used to a new bed. Don't worry, almost all dogs fall in love with the bed, it just takes some dogs longer than others. Here are a few tips that have worked for other customers: 1) Rub your hands all over the cover. This is called "scenting", it tells your dog that the bed is approved by you. 2) Lay on the bed yourself. This might get your dog interested in approaching and possibly stepping onto the bed. 3) If your dog's old bed has a removable cover, take it off and lay it on top of the new bed. This can sometimes make the new bed seem more familiar, like an old friend. 4) Put the bed in the exact spot where he lays while you're home. In my house, it's often right next to the couch. It doesn't need to stay in this spot, but it can often jump start the "trying out the new bed" process. 5) Old fashion bribery. Get your dog to lay down on it, then bribe with a treat. Bribe every few minutes it stays on without getting up. Most importantly though, just give it time. We have a 1 year trial on our beds, we want you to take as much time as you need. And if it just so happens that your dog just never warms up to the bed, no problem… we'll gladly take it back for a full refund. Hope that helps!
@@Bigbarker I have had the bed for over a year now and she still prefers to sleep in front of the heater vent. I have laid down on the bed and got my scent on it, but I think she prefers the heater vent because it's comfortable for her, I think it helps with the heat on her back end, I don't know?

Pitbulls are the strongest and most resilient breed in the world and they always bounce back. Underground dog fighting ran by uneducated thugs is why these dogs are hurt. It wasn't like that in the past. There's sick people abusing animals all over and they need to be jailed, not given probation or 12 month sentences. It should be a minimum of 7 years and maximum life
