Always looking for that secret spot, that monster hiding in the creek, that next odd species to check off my bucket list. I'm not some fishing guru or anything like that and I don't claim to be, just a normal dude trying to make some interesting / entertaining content. Grew up mainly bass fishing, but the past few years drifted towards multi species fishing. Open to trying anything new when it comes to fishing, feel free to ask questions, leave advice, or any video ideas/ requests in the comments.
All of these videos about catching catfish with crazy coated meat is just way to extra and a waste of time, catfish are bottom feeders, they'd eat the chicken as is without the jell-o coating. 😅
I tried making one too but I think it is just look good in human eyes but not effective to fish. You could caught ten times more fish if you just used worm in waky worm or texas rig. I haven't tried mine but I am assuming I just waisted a worm rig. But it was fun try making new rig...
As far as I’m aware they aren’t sold yet. I made it using a zoom trick work, plastic straw, and super glue. You can look find a tutorial to make them on RU-vid
I've done that before! Did a float trip with some buddies and totally misjudged how long it would take. Got dark, new moon, pitch black, and we ended up hiking thru the forest to get out. Good times.
As the old saying goes “You can put dog shit on a hook and catch a catfish” smh . Other wards , don’t be amazed at catching one while using anything weird for bait , they are going to eat it .
I’ve had virtually no luck at this pond on cut bait and other traditional catfish baits, Depends on where your fishing. You sound like a purist bass fisherman or something, bass will eat LEGO’s and blocks of wood..
@@FishPlug nah not a purist bass fisherman . I prefer ocean fishing for Pelagics . We do hit the Calico Bass , Sand Bass and Spotted Bay Bass though. But I prefer top water fishing for California Yellowtails , Blue and Yellowfin’s, Barracuda , etc etc on the irons and knife jigs . Not knocking what you fish for , we have to catch what’s available.
I’ve only used it for catfish, but possibly. A lot of carp pack baits use the jello mix in the recipes with like corn and bread crumbs and stuff. Especially strawberry jello mix. Check out the Cats and Carp channel he uses it for a lot of recipes
@@FishPlug I'm totally down to try. Just got back from up North, Wisconsin that is, caught blue gills crappies an bass,,,, on worms but.. anything to help lol.... How do u do this jello thing? Thanks for vid an advice brother. Nice catch btw!!!! Catfish is AMAZING cooked right!!
These aren't rigged correctly. The hook shouldn't be exposed and you're not supposed to use an offset shank hook. You should be using a more circular hook like the kind used in dropshots and the hook point should be embedded in the plastic. And I hope you misspoke when you said "o-ring." You should be using a metal split ring, not a rubber o-ring like used in wacky rigs...
I agree with you, I only had those hooks on me that day. If you watch until the second half (which is another day) I switch it up with different hooks and added a second on the tail. And yes I must have miss spoke I meant a split ring.
