I travel backroads and US highways in search of interesting Roadside Relics Historical Sites, Parks, Attractions and Oddities. I love attending festivals museums and shows. I enjoy hiking trails and country roads barefoot with my dogs. I do videos on all of the above and of places of interest that you may never have heard of. I invite you to come along and enjoy all of my adventures with me.
Knowing he took advantage of that young girl, but women were always the ones considered "deflowered/ruined", regardless of the circumstances, women were so devalued in that Strictly Patriarchal Era, (and the Thinking fully from the "Lower Mind, aka Ego Mind, aka Adolescent Mind"), so limited in education, experiences, in potentials, and so heavy in Fundamentalism Ideologies and Dogmas, fear based, negative learned perspectives. It would lack Empathy to Judge them, and Judging is fully of the "Lower Mind", as well. It is with Discernment that we consider these deep country and backwood lifestyles of the present or past. To be other than White, Anglo, Saxon, Protestant, and Male, was to experience some variety and measure of Prejudice. Many still hold this perspective or a variable of similar to it. It is our "Higher Mind, aka Mature Mind, aka Adult Mind" where we gain a mature and balanced measure of Thoughts and Beliefs. Beth Bartlett Sociologist/Behavioralist and Historian
Locals pronounce it "Rull-er-ford" 😁 I grew up about 2 miles from that cabin, in Kenton, TN. The cabin is in Gibson County, close to Obion County. There is a Crockett County, further South, towards Memphis/Shelby County. There's also an Alamo, TN, located in Crockett County. What's all farmland now was Forrested and filled with Vegetation. When Davy moved there, it was populated with several Tribes of Native Americans. I've little doubt he hunted my family's land and particularly down the creek, running East/West, and that is just about a half mile North of his Cabin. My Mother found countless arrowheads and other artifacts along the creek and in our fields. Beth Bartlett Sociologist/Behavioralist and Historian
Magical collection, almost impossible to find things like thee here in the UK sadly, but eBay and Etsy sometimes get the odd thing. however, the prices are getting super inflated.

The neon your Dad made is just beautiful! I can only wish I had an heirloom that neat that I could say was made by a family member. I love it! Keep doin what you’re doin.
There are several families that live across the bridge. They cross it at least twice a day. I drove a Model T Ford across it a few months ago. Check out Model T Camp and Adventures if you want to see a Model T cross it. Its in the Chimney Rock video.

Thank you for this video. I went out this morning to check out those roads. It was just as cool as it looked in your video. Even found what I think was the old Primm Springs Resort
@@barefootdavesadventures7969 I was just saying that when I first saw it it looked like a charger to me or a Challenger. Somebody was trying to make it look like a firebird. Spending that kind of they could have spent last and still had a really nice firebird by building one that I have from 1968.
Thanks for sharing for my birthday which is in September I got a vantage christmas tree topper star from ebay exactly like the old one except it has a warmer glow. Which is already in use as of this christmas season.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and compliments that means a lot. And of course thank you for watching and subscribing. Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.🎅🎄
Hey Dave...thank you so much for this year's video! Love your vintage taste. Takes me back to the Christmas parties in elementary school in the 70s back in GA. I remember me and my brother always flipping through the Sears and JC Penny Christmas cataloges. What a time to be a kid. Take care and Merry Christmas!
I am friends with Ben Jones and I ve been there but not the one in Nashville and I got to drive the real General Lee from the tv show and I wish people would understand that car is a TV star it's got nothing to do with racism
Ha ha. Let's see... we've got the Dixie flag, a former actor who's been driving drunk when not fondling women on set, exploding outhouses, and a trump fan. Far too many jokes to be made here.
i know this was a year ago but this wish warmed my heart, and Jesus is the ONLY reason for the season...the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ!! I hope to see you giving out another Christmas wish this season, however have seen you haven't been on in awhile...very sad since I just subscribed.
love all your vintage decorations! I think it was so sweet and what a priceless treasure you have with the neon sign your dad made in '52 ...and no repairs wow that's amazing along with all the other beautiful ones...I love your blowmold items. they are all just out of this world, especially the nativity scene you bought at sears?? You just did your inside and outside perfectly. I loved the HUGE santa face. All the cute little plastics decor too was so memorable... bringing it all together was a wondrous sight. reminds me so much of my childhood. Really hope to see one this year,,,,eagerly awaiting (hopeful) ;) Happy holidays!
