One note to keep in mind is that this video was made three years ago, back in the game’s Early Access days. As such, this specific glitch (the one where the player gets flung off screen on entering the doorway) hasn’t been present in the game for a long time now. However! Assault Shield itself still has a use that this video does show an early implementation of. If you press the shield button followed by a roll within a few frames, it extends the shield bash a bit further than it would normally. It won’t look quite like it does in this video (thanks to some refinements and bug fixes to the game since this point), but this shield dash mechanic has always been a staple of Dead Cells speedruns due to the increased momentum.
