I sort of appreciate Joss Whedon's work in tv moreso than the work he did for movies, as his work on tv helped to guide the creative direction of future shows thematically, aesthetically and tonally similar to his tv shows like Firefly and Buffy to be more like them. This proved to be a benefit as shows that followed after were only good as they were because they took cues from Whedon's style. Shows were innovative and unique thanks to showrunners like Whedon. This is ironic then that the movies he worked on went on to have the opposite effect on films, thematically, aesthetically and tonally similar to his Avengers movies. I don't like what became of the Marvel movies after Whedon made his Avengers movies as, unlike his tv shows, the Avengers movies encouraged the homogenization/marvelization of the films that followed. Because of the writing formula he introduced into films following his success with the first two Avengers movies, Marvel became a collection of essentially the same movie being made again and again. What's worse, is that every single character, or atleast most characters, were essentialy written to be the same quirky and quippy Whedon-lite character. I genuinely think the Avenger movies were the beginning of the end for Marvel. It's really only gotten worse since, overall.

When you play and while watching TDK and TDKR, does it show in a 1.43:1 Aspect ratio where there is black bars on the side and you get the whole full top and bottom image for the IMAX scenes, or for the special edition that you have, is it like every other regular IMAX Blu-ray where it just shows in a 1.78:1 (16x9) aspect ratio, because if not, then I don't want to buy it..
