Hello i have the exact same strip but its too long for my room. Can ı just cut at the end and not reconnect it will it work fine with the app and the controller?
It will still function, but you will lose any of the patterns that were supposed to function on the portion that you cut off, so there may be periods of no light if those parts are only supposed to be lit
I was searching for a video about this and this one was the first that came up... Perfect!! I want to put the outdoor version under the edge of my outdoor kitchen but a couple areas are higher and lower than the regular bar so I was wondering if this could be done. Now I know and you even said the correct wire to use! Thanks!!

hey! I have a 24v rgbic led strip and i'd like to cut it and connect two parts to the same controller. Can I do it with a 4 pin connector or do i need any particular cable?
shouldn't need a specific kind of cable, a 4 pin connector should work, i just prefer to use CAT5 because i have it readily available, i can customize it to whatever length i need and in my opinion is reliable
So i had 32FT RGBIC PRO (2 rolls by 16ft). I literally was running 15" short and extended one roll to 17 ft 2". The control unit that sends the voltage is programmed only for 16 ft even. So the added section was lit as it was close to power source but at the end of the line exactly 15" was dead and did not lit. I also had 65" RGBIC PRO, so i soldered that control unit to LED strip and it worked. However, I noticed that certain modes that start sending light from the middle are not working as intended. Why can't they allow in the app to add manually number of sections so all light presets work as expected...
