The coming May we will be flying from Toronto to Guangzhou, unfortunately China Southern airlines is too expensive. Anyone can suggest some other airlines cheaper flying out to Guangzhou??

You must have had very restrictive flight attendants on your flight. I flew China Eastern last month and I was able to film take-off and landings on both my trans-Pacific flights. Just so I wouldn't get into any trouble, I even specifically asked my flight attendant if I could take video and she said it was perfectly OK. I even had my camera mounted on the window.
You must have taken China Eastern Airlines on or after September 18, 2017. After that point, cameras are allowed to be used to film take offs and landings. My flight was before that date, therefore filming take offs and landings was not allowed. This rule completely got relaxed after that date.
The flight route at the beginning is obviously mistaken. The flight uses the north pole route, which crosses Greenland and the Arctic Ocean, then enters Russia before getting into China.
