I don't get it. Guys raving about this technology. I've owned mine for a year and I find it very difficult to read. I've had it professionally installed on a kayak and have tons of difficulty using and adjusting it. I find the regular sonar waaaay more useful. Maybe being over 60 has something to do with it.......

so you mention the bjr, adrena 7-2 glass and expride 7-2 glass for chatterbaits. has the adrena replaced the expride for you? and why isn't the bjr a do it all chatterbait rod for you?

3k/4k is so overkill and heavy. I never used anything over 2500 even with 7plus rod. 1k/2k is plenty. I caught numerous striper and snag 20plus lb carp no prob with braid.
I’m not saying a 2500 can’t handle it and totally respect your opinion. It’s more about gear ratio and line pickup speed. Plus the bigger the spool the less line twist and further casts you can make. Lastly, totally depending on price range but my Shimano Exsence 4000’s hold less line the a standard 2500 spool and are lighter than most companies reels as well.
Did you receive anything from Batteries Plus or X2 batteries for this review? X2 batteries are crap, don't buy any of their products.. I spent $109 for a 12V lawn mower battery and it failed after 7 months. It wouldn't even charge. They are junk
Question pls, i have hds live 7, how come shaded relief is grayed out and i cannot turn on that function? It only works on my lowrance app on the phone? Do i need to buy shaded relief separately?
I have hds live 7 and when i try to turn on shaded relief the function is greyed out why?. I have cmap reveal but what about some card that you mentioned? Do i need to buy some additional card ? Lowrance said they have cmap reveal embedded into hds live, even though i have cmap reveal with general colors, the shaded relief is greyed out? How do i get it activated?
My first Loomis rod was an MBR783C IMX that I got in 1998. I got hooked. many rods later I don't have that one anymore but I do have the IMX Pro MBR903C which is an updated version of that classic rod. Back in 98 the IMX 783 MBR was one of their most popular higher end rods. I also have the IMX Pro SJR901S which i love for all things on the small side. lots of fun to throw for trout and small bass
Josh, I purchased a Lowrance Elite FS 9, May 2023. As I begin learning the unit I see under "Chart Source " (in Charts), I see C-MAP OnBoard and Navionics. I think they are part of a bundle when I bought the unit. Navionics doesn't appear to be very useful. However, the C_MAP OnBoard setting seems to show some lake detail for my Lake (Cayuga Lake, NY). With that info, do I need to purchase a C-MAP SD card OR a Navionics SD card? Is th eunit telling me that I have C-MAP, preinstalled? Thanks, Bernie
Do you change the handle for the Bantam 6:2:1 and the 7:1:1 to match the handle length of the 8:1:1, or change the handle length of the Bantam models? Thanks
