I created this channel to share different things with the world. You'll see anything from household renovation projects to camping videos , to goofy videos with my kids. The most import thing is to have fun and enjoy the content and not take anything to serious.
Awesome stuff man! For your repeated cuts you should try a stop block. You can set up the stop block, cut all of them to one length, then adjust the stop block and do the other cut to save a little time and it would be a tad bit more accurate.
Nice DIY Project man. That is something that I need to do to my Kayak. I like your Crocs you are wearing man. I wish I could wear them but they are not wide enough for my extremely wide feet 🦶 i have. I hear they are really really comfortable to wear for kayaking & i see a lot of people wearing them. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this.
This was a good kayak trip man. Me & my family ( wife , 6 boys , daughter in law , Granddaughter , soon to be my Grandson who 1 year & 11 month old , my lil brother , & his son ) who all lives with me we all love to kayak & kayak camping man. Kayak camping is something you need on do man. If you like this you would like kayak camping man. It's so much fun to do man. We do 30 to 50 miles of kayak camping. We are about to do 40 miles for memorial weekend if the weather is good. I really like Jake kayak red Cooler . I have been trying to get me one but I can't find any. I want on there website & they don't have any. I like how you was kayaking barefooted 👣 man. That how i have to kayak is barefooted 👣 because I have big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & Flip flops 🩴 is the only footwear that will barely and I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴straps. I am a chubby fat dude with big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 who loves kayaking & kayak camping. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this.
My kayaking buddy Jake and I are planning a kayak camping trip. I have a hammock with a mosquito net that I will likely set up as we go. (Videos hopefully will be loaded afterward)
beautiful job. The supports for handrail what was the spacing measurement? I think it was an overkill, looks like 5 inches apart but looks GREAT! Thumbs up
What you built is not allowed by code. You cannot screw end and ledger boards to support posts. It must be resting on top of the support post or nested into a notch in the post.
Thank you so much. I don’t need the fancy editing and fancy close-up shots and acrobatic stuff a lot of people do - heck, might as well hire a professional cameraman for that - defeats the whole purpose of DIY. I just love to watch someone produce nice stuff. Thank you!
The only thing I could add would be to use structural screws for the supports, they act more like nails and will not shear, normal deck screws are fine for the topping and stairs.
I think it is really cool that you said you didn't know much about building and then made this awesome porch with extra twists and individuality into it! You did a great job! Thank you for sharing!
This channel I started is just for fun and also to capture memories. It warms my heart that it could inspire someone. Thanks for watching . I’m sure I’ll never have enough subscribers to make any money from it so all the great comments I get from people around the world make it worth while
I should have labeled it part 2: final or something. There was not a 3rd video. I lost the footage of my completing the project. I explained it a little bit at the end of part 2. Thank you for watching
Surprised ur inspectors don't make u put forms under ur posts. In mass they would make u put atleast 36 inches of concrete under ground at each post so that over time they don't sink under the weight of the deck. But pretty good idea for a deck ramp 👍
There were no inspectors involved in the project. I just built this for a family friend. I’m not a contractor nor is this a business of mine. I did use forms everywhere I could that wasn’t on the slab of concrete. The tree made it difficult to dig down in a few places
I’ve had that miter stand for almost 20 years. I’m not even sure the make. It’s great it folds up and has wheels for easy portability. I’ll see If I can find info on it and post here later
Since I was doing by myself I would say it took around 14 hours total . As you can see in the videos there are a lot of pieces and parts. It’s like an adult 3d jig saw puzzle. It was rewarding to see the finished product though. Thanks for watching
Thank you. Through some other comments I’ve learned a few things I could have done different, but overall I’m happy with how it turned out. Stayed tuned in the next couple weeks I’ll be going back and adding a ramp.
