Welcome to my channel. I have always been a keen crafter and creating with resin has become my favourite craft of all. I would love to share with you all what I do and how I create unusual and unique pieces. If you are intested in resin crafting then follow me as I show you step by step how I make everything from small charms to large wall art. I hope I can help or inspire some of you to give resin a try. Happy crafting.
Hi I do list everything I used and where it came from in the video description. however if you can't see it, then from my memory, I used crystal clear general purpose epoxy resin bought online from Ebay. They sell many good brands on ebay . The die/mould came from Ebay - it's called a silicon petri coaster / cooking mould. I hope that helps.
Hi I don't really know exactly what you mean by picture or message so I am guessing here. If you were adding something like a paper pic or sticker with ink, it would have to be sealed with a couple of coats of either mod podge or a clear varnish before puttingit in resin. I hope that helps.
Yay! This is the third pyramid of yours i have watched and i am thinking something like this would be a good one for me to try first! 🥰 Less resin and less chance of trapped air versus flowers etc 😁. Thank you again!
Hi again and thank you for the lovely comment. This pyramid would be a good one for a newby. Simple but effective layers and nothing too fiddly for you.Happy to inspire you and happy holidays to you too😊
I have watched two pyramid projects of yours and both came out absolutely beautiful 🥰 i subscribed when i saw how many interesting videos you have! 😂 I am addicted to resin crafting and have had this pyramid mold for ages but have kept putting it off bc i know its quite an endeavor! You made it look easy but i know better! 🤭💕 Amazing work, Dear! Highly impressed and VERY inspired! 🤗💕 I appreciate all your hard work and look forward to watching more of your videos! 💓 Be well and happy holidays!
Hi so pleased you liked my video's and thank you for subscribing to me.I can tell how much enthusiasm you have for resin and I am so happy that I inspired you. Thank you it was lovely to read your comments and Good luck and happy crafting.
Thank you so much for this great tutorial! just wanted to know, how much harder and resin did you use? kinda new to the whole resin thing And also Pip and Teddy are so cute❤️
Thank you very much. Sorry I cant remeber how much resin but it was very litte, less than 1 oz I think. Teddy and Pip are cute you are right. I was so lucky that they behaved well that day and I am so happy that you enjoyed my video.Thank you.😊
I'm not trying to be negative or troll or anything but this is not a orgone device ..so many people are making pyramids and calling them orgone simply because they put crystals in it n make it look decorative..I had to learn as well so I'm not trying hate on anyone but bring awareness to the true meaning of orgone energy...For it to be orgone it has to have the proper elements n layers with 50% or more organic n inorganic matter it also has to have a coiled double terminated quarts at the top to create the piezoelectric reaction.. this one has way to much dead apace , which are the area with no organic matter , it looks nice but it's not a orgone generator/device..no love lost ..
Hi thank you for the comment and I can see that you are very Knowledgeble about orgones. You are right in that my creation is not a true orgone, It's just made in that style, but meant to be decorative, not actually an orgone. I should have called the video making an orgone style decorative pyramid or something similar. Thank you for the information and I will remember to be more precise in my descriptions in future.
Hi sorry to hear your punchers can't cut it. The felt I used was quite thin so maybe that's why I could do mine. Maybe you could just snip little holes with some scissors. Good luck and happy crafting.
That's amazing.. would love to know if the flower was real n dried or was artificial, made of cloth? I really hope if someone could tell the quantity of resin used in each layer? Am very new to resin but dying to make pyramid one ASAP. Got my mould but am afrais of how to measure n divide each layer of this beauty..
Hi and thank you, so happy that I inspired you. The rose is a fake rose made of silk and plastic. I am sorry that I didn't measure the amount of resin I used in each layer. I would say guestimate it and add a bit more. Have a spare small mold to hand to use any spare resin in. I wish you luck with your pyramid and happy crafting.😊
Hi thank you so much for the lovely comment. Making it for a wedding is such a lovely idea. Please note that I did use a faux silk rose in this project. ( everything I used is listed in the descrition box). Just an idea but, it woulds also be nice if you could save a rose from the wedding bouquet and use that. It must be dried out to go in resin. To dry it out thoroughly, use silica gel crystals for 3-4 weeks. That flower in a pyramid lamp would be a great memento. Another idea, in my next video I am making flowers in initials. That could be the brides and grooms too, the videos coming soon. Finally, yes you are right, the lights were the 1 metre size. (I have tried making this with bright white and coloured lights too but it really looks the best with soft warm white lights). So happy to have inspired you and I wish you luck with your pyramid.😊
i love your creativity, the lady wants hers to be very white based, so might put some white crystals at the bottom. i think ill try to put the cube a bit lower in the mold so i can have an open space for the lights rather than covering the lights with the mold.
Can I get some tips from you. My pyramids came out bumpy lumpy, I sandpaper them, then put a thin layer of resin and it dried up all blotchy and smoothe, I tried again with uv resin, again all blotchy. I used a foam brush. What am I doing wrong.
I recently just got this. But haven’t made anything yet. I don’t know what the best measurement is of the resin and hardener to use. Some things I do turn out decent others not hard enough. Or still tacky.
Hi thanks for watching my video and the comment. I really liked this mold, it has a lot of detail and was very sturdy. I can't remember how much resin it used but I usually make a bit more than I think I need and then if I have leftovers I make something small like a initial for a keyring or something little. If your cured resin doesn't harden or is tacky I would guess that it's the preperation. I always weigh the resin and hardener to get the exact ratio that it says to use. Also it's important to mix it for a full 3 minutes at least, a bit tedious but it will give really good results and is worth taking the trouble. I hope that helps you and I wish you luck with your resin creations.😊
Hopefully you see this as it's been three years. 1. Can I combine the second and third layers and just have it be a dark colored layer of resin for the same result? And 2. If you flip the caps right side up would that eliminate the problem of them moving around? Thanks for your time.
Hi Thanks for watching my video and you raised some good questions. Reply 1) If you combined the 2nd and third layers with a coloured layer it could look a bit odd. You would still see the bottle caps tops but not the sides and I don''t think it would have as much impact. So, even though you could just do 2, I really think it's worth the extra effort to do 3 layers. Reply 2) Even if you flipped the caps, they would still move and need re positioning. Making them "upside down" really is the best way. I hope that helps and if you do give them a go I wish you luck.
@roselilyresincreations9686 sorry to bother you again but mind if I ask where you got the molds? All the ones I've seen at michaels or hobby lobby are not that deep
@@jstarr3676 Hi again, it's no bother at all. I got the mould/ mold online from Ebay. As I am in the UK it might be different on the US site . They would probablyu be on amazon too. They are called silicone petri coaster molds. I really hope you can find them on a US online shopping site. Happy crafting.😊
Hi Rose! thanks so much for the lovely bear and video xx It is very special. iylah will love watching this when she is older❤️ Hope you are well😊 Love Aimie & Jordan xxx
Make sure you are drying your flowers with silica gel first, she’s using a fake flower in this video. Fresh flowers hold too much moisture for the resin and will rot inside.
This is sooo pretty and inspiring! 🥰 May I ask the tool your using to make the holes. It looks like a hole puncher? I didn’t want to be reparative so I looked through the comments. Thank you for the time you put in for making this video ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for all the appreciation. The tool i used to make the four corner holes in the dust cover was a rotating hole punch for leather. I hope that helps.😊
@@roselilyresincreations9686 Yes it did! I tried googling it but no success without knowing what it was 😂😂😂😂 Thank you! You definitely have a new subie! Much love! ❤️
Hi thank you and the rose was a fake silk rose, not a real rose, so it went in the resin just as it was. If it had been a real rose I would have dried it out first. I have another video on my channel, -valentines, wedding bouquet keepsake pyramids- where i show how I use real flowers in resin. I hope that helps.😊
Hi- no sorry but you can't use a hairdryer, it would not be hot enough and would blow the resin all over the place. You could use a flame, slowly passed over the resin, like from a BBQ lighter flame, but it mustn't touch the silicone or it will melt. Hope that helps and happy crafting.😊
