You didn't give the right word choices to describe you. The word that I'd use is assertive. You have been more than fair! When your biological mother asked you if the tuition money would be coming all at once or installments, you should have known the grift was on. There would be a difference if I was in OPs shoes, first I would have hired a PI, got all the evidence of cheating, filed for divorce and then blasted all evidence on social media. If my daughter blocked me, like in the story, I would have my kind open, but emotionally cut her off. Started dating casually and eventually remarry, have more kids etc. Start over basically, daughter would be reaching out not as the only grandaughter or daughter but just as the only one to cut me off. As much as it absolutely sucks what happened to your daughter I believe you are looking at this through rose tinted glasses. Intentions absolutely do matter especially when someone who is an adult actively chooses to kick you out of their life with no conversation for nearly a decade. You should teach them a leson. I beleve that there is a special dye that can be added to pools that is clear untill curtain chemicals the body releses. I beleve that it also dyes the sking of anything that touches it semi perminently. I cant remember what its called but my parents did the exact same thing to me but they knew i used the pool with there own permision. I also havd a savear alergy to most dyes, this one included. When i got in for my morning swim i found out what had hapend because not only did the water and my skin turne purple i also started developing a rash all across my body and i also had some swelling in some parts of the body.
I really don't have a fav child (2 boys) they both equally agravate me in different ways. They are both equally lovable in different ways. One is like me & one is like my husband.
