An excellent film about the band from whoa to go. Not just focusing on Garrett for a change. Learnt a few things I didn't know and the loved the sound track. Highly recommended.
It's 10 years old! Director Bong-Joon Ho makes a different kind of dystopian future flick It’s slick, grimy, very well acted, and greatly displays the kind of levels humanity goes to for change It’s a microcosmic world that projects humanity’s own worst attributes There’s lots of themes here revolving around survival, compassion, and the extremes people will go to to maintain power and reshape society’s structure Lots of social commentary about those who remain in power to being in confinement to poor living conditions to inequity next to pure allegory for the class system It’s the lack of care and consideration for the impoverished that leads to the hatred for the more privileged How far are people willing to go for survival even at the cost of compassion? Do we accept our preordained obligation in society to keep it going? There is inhumanity of the human race It’s anxiety, chaos, fear that instills such imbalance when it comes to human survival, class, global warming, and price of freedom Ho does an excellent job with something like this having a political edge despite logistical issues and not all the emotions feeling 100% genuine
I do not know your true nature, but you have a great signal, only after that of Ernes Borgnine, almost for approximately four years; You sporadically make "pop" in my vision📡. In the case of Ernest, on the other hand, I have been able to elucidate the role that the above has assigned to him. In addition to the fact that he has always has shown his intentions, one could say that I have come to esteem him. I suppose that something similar happened with Thomas Russell Jenkinson. I hope he has had the privilege of knowing him.
It feels like none of the cast have played the games... The energy and voicelines from the trailer doesn't match the games characters at all. They'd have been better off having a spin off to make new characters.
I just... to make a borderlands film should be simple on paper. The original 4 vault hunt hunters, Roland, Lilith, Mordecai and Brick. Their quest is to open a vault with the guardian 'angel' as their guide. Wacky side characters, threatening psychotic villains and a showdown with Atlas and the Destroyer. The template is there. I'll watch it. I'm curious, but my expectations are low. Also why does Crom have Mouthpiece's design? Why are all the weapons modelled from the BL3 era and not Bl1? It simultaneously does and doesn't look like Borderlands.
