@@Mike-tb9xq Thanks!! We are looking forward to our next trip too. But in the meantime, we will be bringing you great travel tips and videos from the Central Coast of California. Ever hear of Avila Beach? Stay tuned! You might just fall in love with it 😍
@@Katalex29 Oh, so exciting!! It’s getting close! Hope you have the most amazing time on your cruise 🚢 Come back and let us know which was your favorite port 😁🚢
Do you have a link for the excursion you used in Pompeii? Also, did it include Skip the line tickets or did you have to wait in line to get your tickets?
@@erikadean7170 We took the Pompeii on your own bus transfer through the cruise line. Then, when we got there we had gotten an audio guide tour through Get Your Guide. We had tickets through that so we didn’t need to stand in line for tickets. There was a short line to get in through security. It took less than 5 minutes and even guided tours had to go through it. Hope that helps! 😁🚢
@@KM-cv5px Thanks for watching!! And stay tuned, there are many more great adventures ahead 😁 we put a new video out each Sunday. Hope you stick around to see what’s next!😁🚢
Thanks y’all for this series. We are so jacked, we sail on The Escape out of Barcelona on the 10th. We don’t go to Ibiza but our 10 days will be filled with a lot of the sights and hopefully great memories like you created.
@@BillCeller-gp3mk So excited you! This is one of the best parts!! When you can get pre-checked in and start getting everything together to pack!! Have an amazing adventure!!😁🚢
Love your videos! We are departing on Sept 29, 2024! Quick question on the White Pass Railway. How do you book the VIP? I didn’t see the VIP as an option.
@@JodyVadas good question, we found the VIP option only through the cruise line. If you don’t see it, you might call White Pass railroad to see. It was a fantastic excursion. Even if you can’t go in the VIP it’s worth it. Hope you get it!!😁🚢
@@sandrat1205 Thank you for coming along!! And of course we will still be putting out a new video every Sunday. This trip was SO amazing!! But hang with us, we’ve got some exciting stuff coming soon 😁🚢
You’re like me!😂 I like a little bagel with my cream cheese!! Thanks for sharing your cruise adventures! My husband and I are so excited for ours next July!
We’ve been obsessed with the series because we’re taking this same cruise in a couple weeks. I’ll be celebrating my birthday in this port on the same excursion 😂🙌🏼 so now I’m even more excited! Happy birthday to Pepper. Thanks for sharing this trip. ✌🏼
I'm going on the Escape in the Mediterranean in 26 days, WOOT! I'm having so much fun waatching your videos about your trip. We have much the same travel values: unique experiences, new places, great food and drink. Thanks for sharing!
@@rjsams001 Those are exactly what we want out of a trip!! You’re going to have a blast. The Escape is a great ship 🚢 and the itinerary was awesome. You’re almost there!! We LOVE the excitement when a cruise is that close. Thanks for watching!! Come back and let us know what your favorite port was when you get home. 😁🚢
@@sikat4 Oh, you’re going to have a great vacation!! Our Alaska cruise was both magical and the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. We did a whole series of vlogs too. Here’s the link to check it out: ru-vid.com/group/PLF88WDpjAr99g4bcrjJ-E6DHATLATV2_M&si=hldHICZRZKI7xfMW
@@lyndachiarella337 The food doesn’t cost. But there’s a delivery fee. For breakfast it’s $4.95 and the rest of the day is $9.95. Alcohol can be delivered to your cabin but it is not included in your drink package so there’s an additional charge for that. Hope this helps. 😁🚢
Hi Carol! The hop on hop off bus is a great way to see Palma in a short time and it's great that you need not walk far to hop on. Do you get on the hop on bus to get back to the ship later? Am thinking about this option since we have a $50 excursion voucher.
@@peggytan4610 Yes, you can take it back to the port. But, it doesn’t go directly to the ship like at pickup. It drops you at the front of the port. We found it an easy walk and not too long. We wanted to stay in downtown Palma longer than the bus ran (it stops running at 6pm) so we just paid for a taxi back. It was quick and easy and dropped us at the same place the bus would have. Hope this helps. 😁🚢
My daughter and I went to Cagneys just a few weeks ago and the food was absolutely sub par. The mashed potatoes were subpar, I mean how do you mess up mashed potatoes? Both of our steaks which were supposed to be medium rare were extremely tough and dry. My daughter's lobster tail was tough and dry. Very disappointing. The regular dinning room was much better.
@@nabimiso I have had a few dishes at Cagney’s that I regret. The lobster bisque for example. And, we learned that the lobster tail was not worth it. So sorry you had such a bad dining experience. Did you let them know about your experience? 😁🚢
First and foremost, we wish Pepper a very happy 50th birthday and may he continue for untold many more years to come. Thank you also for sharing your adventures in Mallorca, it was apparently definitely worth it. I'm counting down the days to board the Norwegian Escape myself (September 10). Thanks to you, we already have a good starting position of what there is to see and do in the various places where you have been on this trip and where we will also visit and of course the ship itself. I look forward to your next adventure in Ibiza (where we do not dock on our cruise). Kind regards. Frank from Belgium. (Sorry for my English)
@@frankspiessens1714 Thanks!!! And there’s nothing like the excitement as your cruise gets closer. So excited for you Frank. Palma was amazing!! You’re going to have such a great cruise!😁🚢
@@indranidas40 It is dependent on how many full cruise passes they have sold on your cruise. It never hurts to check on the day. But, if you would be devastated to not have it that’s when it’s worth considering a full cruise pass. We took the chance on our last cruise and ended up not missing the thermal suite so we opted not to try for a day pass this time. Our cruise was very port intensive though. If we had not gotten it on our Alaska cruise we really would have missed it. Hope that helps!😁🚢
@@lyndachiarella337 We didn’t because it varies too much. It is dependent on the ship, the amenities offered in the thermal suite, the length of your cruise, the popularity of the thermal suite on that type of cruise, etc. We know it would be helpful, but there’s just too many variables.😁🚢
What time of year was this video taken? I am doing a nine day out of barcelona next april on the Breakaway. ibiza overnight in florence Rome naples cagliari and palma de Mallorca. I'm trying to avoid crowds and decent weather
@@johnthyen5599 This was May 26-June 4. The weather was nice most of the trip. Although, it was starting to get hot. There were definitely crowds in Rome and Florence. But, we’ve heard that it gets PACKED by mid June and after. You have a great chance of getting good weather and definitely less crowds. 😁🚢
Happy Birthday to Pepper! Wow.....this port looks like so much fun! I love love love festivals! I cannot wait to see where you take us next week!! Thank you for great content! Your energy is magnetic!!
@@tiluo2023 We have never found a commercially available one we liked. We just took a T-shirt (works best without writing or design) and we just cut it in half. One of us has the front and the other has the back. It’s super compact that way and we just keep them in our toiletry kits for travel.
@@bronte826 We don’t right now. Thanks for the suggestion. We will make sure to do one on our next cruise. We did the luggage tags on our first cruise and found it to be a bit confusing and slow to disembark. The last 2 cruises we simply carried our bags off ourselves and found that to work much better for us. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 😁🚢
@@GinaCavazos-v9b The price varies based on popularity, type of cruise, ship, etc. On our Alaskan cruise August 2023 it was $339/person. When it becomes available to purchase it will show on your NCL app. I believe they opened up sales about 90 days before our cruise. 😁🚢
This video was very informative. We're due to go on the Alaskan NCL Encore in September. We have a couple of questions. Is the water in the room drinkable? And is there water bottle fill stations like at the airport? Are there amenities in the room bathrooms, shampoo, soap, etc. I'm assuming bath towels are provided in the room. Can you take the shuttle to Ketchikan without during an excursion? Thanks ladies, we've enjoyed your videos
@@bronte826 Thanks! They say the water in your room is perfectly drinkable. We used it to brush our teeth. But, we brought water bottles on the ship. We like our water cold so we didn’t fill them in the room. They will fill them or give you cups of water to pour in your bottle. We prefer sparkling water so I would just ask for club soda. It was great. There is hand soap at the sink and a conditioning shampoo and body wash in the shower. Towels are provided in the room and for excursions if applicable (like going to the beach-we didn’t need towels on excursions in Alaska) And yes, they will shuttle you to town at any of the ports that are not right in town. Juneau had a shuttle too. If you want to see more about the room we had check out our embarkation day video. Embarkation Day from Seattle: NCL Encore Alaskan Cruise Adventure 🚢 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ma7eaUWx99U.html We do a room tour of our balcony room. 😁🚢
@@marisajensen405 There are a couple bars that open at 7 or 8 on most ships. These include the Atrium bar and O’Sheehans or the Local(which ever your ship has). So, as long as you’re excursion is after that you should be able to get one. On our last cruise, we were on the ship by 11:15 AM. And sugar canes was already open.
@@myrnakelly1188 Thanks!! Yes, it’s so much better that way. And, our other piece of advice is to remember it’s a one way access through the parc. So, once you move past a feature or area you are not allowed to go back. Make sure you get all the photos and soak in each area before moving on.😁 Have a great vacation!!
What a great and relaxing 'sea day' and having the entire ship to yourselves! Yes, too many ports is very exhausting and I do agree that cruising should be relaxing. So good to see you guys really having so much of fun on board and looking forward to your next video of Palma de Majorca ❤
@@peggytan4610 Thanks!! We learned that we really needed a day of relaxing. And it was fun to enjoy the Escape. We go back to the Caribbean in March. This time to the southern Caribbean. Pretty woman in a gorgeous dress + sitting in front row + filming the performers = getting dragged on stage. And now it's happened to both sisters. Yay! Looks like you all had a great "sea" day.
@@willcooper6980 Thank you! 😊 We were so surprised they picked her but it was a fun time. It’s such a great show. And they had remixed it with some different songs since the last time we saw it. And, we would go again if on a ship that offers Choir of Man. But, now we’re looking forward to Beetlejuice on the Viva in March!! 😁🚢
You mentioned that it was quite the journey to get to Cinque Terre, but can I how you got there? Did you take the ship bus to Livorno Municipal Center, LAM Blue to Train Station, Train to LaSpezia, and lastly train to Cinque Terre?
Yes, we took the shuttle to the Municipal Center, it was €13 per person. You could not just walk out of the port. From there, we walked to the closest bus stop. This was confusing and difficult to find where to buy the ticket. We took the blue LAM to the train station. Be very careful and make sure you validate any tickets. Including the ones on your phone. We watched them fine people €40 for not realizing they had to validate. We then took Trenitalia to La Spezia and then onto Cinque Terra. There were taxis across from the municipal center, but they were looking for groups to take all the way to Cinque Terre. The train station was not exceptionally big. The buses were confusing. It felt intentional to be able to fine tourists. On the way back the last shuttle is at 10 PM. There is no way to get in the port without it. So, we really had to watch our time in Cinque Terre to make sure we were back in time for the last shuttle. In hindsight, we probably would have had a better trip if we booked a transfer bus from Viator like we did for Florence. Hope that helps!😁🚢
@@mygirlash1 Yes, We took the trin back to Livorno. The blue LAM bus back to the Municipal Center and the shuttle bus back to the ship. That €13 you pay in the morning is round trip on the shuttle bus 😁🚢
