First time i ever heard the Mckammeys i was in Indiana. I was working in a sewing factory. A friend of mine brought me a tape cassette. She said listen to this and i was having a hard time adjusting to the change. Moving from Florida i had just remarried and it was the first time I ever left my family and Florida. One night i plugged in the Cassette and Peg was singing God on the Mountain. I just felt the love of God listening to the McKammeys.I love the way Peg would show off when the spirit of God move on her.She was a inspiration to me. ❤😢❤😢
1. In the reckless world where living in this last day, we've fallen in love with ourselves and lost our way, Where up is down and right is wrong and darkness prevails. But I'm living for the kingdom that will never fail. ** I'm living for eternity, laying a treasure in my heavenly home setting my mind on things are above and not here below I'm living for the hope and when all nation bow before our saviour throne, all will come and go with me, living for eternity. 2. In the different Kingdom that may seem far away, where the love of God grows deeper day by day, where in my heart the one true God is seated on the throne, I'm living for the kingdom that is not my own
I found this yesterday, May 27, '24, watched and shared several of these McKamey videos. Thank you for the rich blessings of listening to the music and especially the testimonies of this dear family. ❤
I sure do wish I could of met Peg McKamey and Vestal Goodman and talked to them. Among many great gospel singers who have went on to their Heavenly home.
It been a long time since I have I heard the name Norm Livingston. He and Rev Hutchinson had a Tent revival Aug 29, 1980 in Middletown ohio My wedding was hour before the revival. I had a open wedding so I had a big wedding, since the tent revival was in the same parking lot at TowneBl Middletown
Roger? Did you marry one of their girls? I remember you touring with the Inspirations in the late 70s & maybe 86(?)- When Mom saw you, oh my; Mike Holcomb was chopped liver & you were put at the top of her totem pole.I was in my 20s & this was over 40 years ago & I wanted to share that story with you because she thought you were the "Cat's Pajamas"!
This is the kind of music ministries we need, real, genuine, honest, and soul saving!! God blessed us with these dear people, and be with them as they remember all that the Holy Spirit used Sister Peg for His eternal Kingdom!! Thanks!!!

I love the McKameys. I would go see them every time they came close enough for me to catch the show. They have been such a blessing to me through their singing. Peg will definitely be missed. My condolences to Ruben and the family. 😢😢😢
I discovered the McKameys two years ago after hearing God on the Mountain by another performer on RU-vid. I had never heard the song.As I scrolled through the comments someone wrote no one can sing this song like Peg McKamey,. I found Peg McKamey Bean and was mesmerized by her spirit filled stage presence. I only wish I had found them many years ago, now that she’s with the Lord. What an amazing witness and disciple of the Lord, she was!
I don't know much about the family and who is married to whom. Who is Reuben married to? They have such a testimony. I'm just trying to organize this in my mind. 🤷♀️❤
Love these songs, I thank God for sending us singers that are doing it to help people, you can feel the love they have for God and they're my favorite Gospel singers, and there not doing it to get rich.
My husband loved watching Mrs Mckamey Bean. He loves the spirit of God and she loved the spirit of God... God's called a lot of his children home this year ❤❤❤
Roger did all the music on both of my recordings. I was 9 the first time and 17 the last time. He did great both times, of course. It was such a big deal for me both times. Tree top productions is where I did the first one, and Southern Sounds for the last one. The Mckameys will always have a special place in my heart. In an industry where there has been so much change they stayed the same. That is a blessing and great testimony to me.
What a family and what a story. I watched this today (12-26-2023) just hearing of Mrs Peg's homegoing. What an inspiration she was to me. Love the McKamey's - always will!! God bless you all, thanks for the documentary!
