She is I believe bang on right about the training. Simply trying to be famous is a false and shallow goal. What actors and musicians and artists and authors and poets and everyone else who is doing that sort of thing need to do is to knuckle down and learn the trade. When you have really learnt something it cannot be taken away from you. Fame can disappear or go very sour and nasty in the twinkling of an eye.
I think Mr. Hiddleston is referring to the third and fourth stages of competence. They are described as 1. Unconscious incompetence. 2. Conscious incompetence. 3. Conscious Competence. 4. Unconcious competence. In acting, it is that fourth level when we no longer see the actor performing but see them as the character; as with so many of Mr. Hidddleston's performances, it is simply extraordinary.
I can already predict that at some point in the next 20 years or so, these two are going to star in a production of Waiting For Godot in the west end, and tickets will be so expensive you’ll need to remortgage your house for a seat up in the gods (apart from the 2 or 3 in the front row for a fiver each, which will be available on an “accessible theatre for everyone” scheme sponsored by an oil company).

My experience of RADA was entirely the opposite. I did a competitibe audition and was overjoyed when I was offered a place, Many of the tutors were bullies and I walked away happily after a very short time.
As a non native speaker i would listen to him hours and hours to learn more and more: word, prononouciation, way of construction of sentences. It's my english tracher. Amazing actor, handsome man, so elegant and confident without been posh. Love him
3 years ago, studying drama in NYC, I was moaning about a Shakespeare sonnet, in the corridor just as Mark Rylance came round the corner. He just stared into me. Annoyed.
