That's a loaded question 🤣. I have actually owned both and they both have strengths and weaknesses. Overall both serve the purpose well, the Ducati is more fun to ride for sure, but my AT was a 2017, so I'd bet the new ones are better.

So far so good, 1400 miles with no issues to speak of, the tower is from Thork, I got the non DOT and have been happy with it so far. It did need some very minor grinding to get it set up right, but overall very easy process. Fuel is an issue, so I added the Accerbis handlebar tank and I carry a Giant Loop 1 gallon fuel bag on longer trips when I need up to 140 miles, and a 30L one on day trips which gives me 100-110 miles total. I get the range I need form that and it all works for me. Average is about 38MPG or 6.2 lt/100 km www.thorkracing.com/produto/enduronav-tower/#next Let me know if you have any other questions
@@MattKritzstein Jeez thanks for the detailed reply. I'll have a look at the Thork site and info. Yeah they are a bit heavy on fuel my PR7 does about 4.5 litres per 100km. Fuel would be an issue I'd probably do the same as U if I buy one. The engine has a bit longer stroke than normal which I love the idea of for dual sport. So how do U rate the engine characteristics and general handling? Thanks for your time Regards Steve
@@dirtbikeadv pretty happy with it, very lively when needed and relaxed when I don't. For me it works perfectly as a dual sport, I prefer it over the PR7 I had because it is just lighter and more nimble and fun to ride. The clutch feel is good, a touch on the heavier side...not heavy, just not light like other bikes I have.

The SW crash bars are not the best...be aware if you drop it that they will shift, easily, and the bar across the radiator will likely come in contact with your forks. If I were to do it again I would not buy them. Really poor design unfortunately.@@GuillaumeRenard
@@MattKritzstein It already started to chip my forks 😅 . I add to build a custom mounting bracket to lower the bar across the radiator. If I knew, I would have bought the Outback Motortek. I talked to this issue with sw motech france. They told me they stop selling this model and they are conceiving a new one for 2024. They told me they will replace mine for free once it will be ready.

Not sure exactly the question, if you mean top speed, like on the street, the bike is relatively comfortable at 70mph, as comfortable as my PR7 was. If I had a smaller rear sprocket I assume it would be even smoother, but it I had to go to 80mph for some reason I could. But cruises all day at 65-75 if I were to choose that much road
@@bellesombres I get about 45 mpg or 5.23 l/100km, I added the Acerbis handlebar tank and would say now I can comfortably go about 115-120 miles, or 185-197KM. I would bet a tiny bit more, but that would be the max I would plan on to keep some in reserve.
I am pretty pleased with it so far. Like all of these, it needed some improvement, but I like it a little more than my 890R I had. There is definitely a weight gain from that bike, but when riding it, you would never know they were 55 pounds different. It's not like we are talking about 225 pound dirt bike vs a 275 pound one, the % difference is more significant then. Overall two thumbs up, but at 6000 miles my 890R was as well, that changed at 8500.miles 🤷🏻♂️ BTW I do enjoy your videos 👍
