Hi Pam, thank you so much for turning this "clean with me" into a series! You've already inspired me to clean out and organize a box full of random ephemera and die cuts I've been saving over the years. I also finally looked through all my scrapbook albums and pages I made almost 20 years ago and forgot all about. It's inspired me to finally do something with them, so I'll be turning them into journals and album keepsakes for my daughter, nieces, and nephew. Thank you so much for your encouragement and inspiration! 💛
I used my Gllimmer Mist colors to dye paper with. I just poured the liquid over paper that were in cheap aluminum pans and kept adding paper and allowed them to dry-it was in the 90s here. What didn't dry that day, I took inside and put under my fan over my dining table and they finished dying. If they were nearly dry, I could separate them and lay them out to finish drying. I got tired of trying to use the Glimmer Mist because the nozzle was always clogging up so I put the colors to better use. The papers are beautiful and quite unique. If you use the Glimmer Mist that have mica in them, you will have to use a spray fixative on them, either hair spray or a commercial fixative. Have fun!
Pam I don’t know if you noticed this but it looks like those who died were on the Mayflower. ? Is that correct? If so, how cool is that! I couldn’t see the whole page but I did see the word Mayflower. I don’t know how you receive these messages either but I’m watching a video from 2 years ago , a make of ledger paper.
I love finding stuff I've forgotten I had or thought I'd thrown away. Why is it so fun watching crafters organize--maybe it's because I like the detail? Maybe you could donate some of the pencils, pens, and overstocked stuff to a local school? The gift would be much appreciated. I hope you and Sun-bun are safe and dry--be well!
Those RSVP pens have a removable end. Stamp a narrow piece of paper and insert it in the pen 🖊️ You have a decorated pen. These are great pens that last a long time. Also, please put the bobbin winder in the sewing machine parts drawer. Thank you! ❤
Good morning Pam! I hope you and Sunny are weathering the storm! The hooks are used on buttons that have hook on the backs! You could use to dangle charms or paper on the edge of your pages ! Take care during the hurricane! Tyfs ❤
The metal clips on buttons are how they attached before the proliferation of plastics on everything. (I’m hoping one day we’ll all go back to using glass, metal, hemp, etc., and keep plastics for specialty products and medical equipment.) I do so love your button collection, Pam!
I remember going to the 5 & dime and all the buttons hanging on a turnstile. I had so much fun looking at all the pretty buttons. I think this is the beginning of my addiction.
Hey sunshine, glad to see y’all be careful. Don’t get any sprays on your beautiful white hair good job cleaning out all of your doors loved watching every second.❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️😍😍😍
Ok i didnt see this video earlier so i spoke to soon. You made enough to hopefully get you through the storm....its ok to be concerned about them atthepaperoutpost❤ thinking of you's
The buttons with the clips were used on nurses uniforms, the buttons came off when it was time to clean and iron the uniforms. My Mom had lots of them. i have a few and never thought of using them in a journal! Sweet....a special journal for sure! This was in the time of ringer washing machines....with the roller that pressed out all the water. And broke buttons.
Thanks for the inspiration. I dug all my pens, markers, and pencils out from numerous hiding places. Tested everything and tossed what wasn’t usable. I have been working while sitting in my bed, because of illness. I kept buying new pens and markers because I thought I needed them-HAHAHA- then I looked UNDERNEATH the bed. Oh Lord!! What did I learn? I just need a few colors That I use most, and it helped me see that colors I used less. 🎉Now to see if I can find a way to use those less inspired, or likable colors- neons, I’m looking at you. Will buy only individual colors moving forward. Yes I am addicted to a particular palette. That might be OK.
Lol, feel free to throw out that little yellow eraser!😂 this is a great reminder to go thru your stuff to remember what you have! I hope all went well for you during the storm. It was a bad one! Stay safe, Sunny! We dont want you to blow away ❤ thx, Pam!
Hello Pam! Been watching the storm patterns as they hit Florida & other areas. 1st thought were prayers for your safety. I turn the packages of baby wipes over/up-side-down & find they stay more wet as gravity pulls moister down. Please let us know how you & Sunny are doing.🙂
Hi Pam. I have some of the metal (crown style) that I picked up at a secondhand store. Love it. Just don't know what to do with it. Yet. 😊 Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
