I’m my opinion, the beeping is symbolic of the floor pass chime in regular elevators and the designers probably knew that since this elevator is going by a lot of floors very quickly having it beep every time it passes a floor its probably gonna annoy a lot of people so they just decided to do this instead and add lights
This sounds like a DeLorean going to time travel with holes, electric holes coming through and when it’s already done time trolling, it just shuts off all of its lights and turns on the side lights
