Hey Everyone! alot of you know who i am, My name is Kevin Galindo. After buying a Yamaha banshee in 2012 I started a Banshee group called South Texas Banshee. It was mostly to show my work and let others see my projects come along. I learned alot about the Banshee and began helping others with things they were unsure of. Before long, my group had become a well known Banshee group people came to for help. I soon started to build my own wiring harnesses for my projects. Soon there after I had guys asking to me "would you build me one?" one thing led to another and I now build them full time from home for the Banshee and a few other poular ATV'S. Sometime inbetween the projects and the harnesses I started a RU-vid channel called South Texas Banshee. On that channel you will find very step by step videos on Banshee repair ranging from carb repair to full engine rebuilds. I have now gotten in to RC and would like to share some knowledge with the RC community. I hope I am able to help!
I replaced all my hinge pins with small stainless steel bolts from my local hardware store. I noticed you tightened yours pretty tight. I found that it makes the suspension too tight so I used lock nuts and had to back off the nuts just a little to get full range of the suspension without any extra resistance.
Great video. My xmaxx is being delivered tomorrow. First rc car. I did not know you had to countersink the screws. thank God I watched this because I just bought a step bit and hinge pins and knuckles just in case anything breaks, I'll be ready.
Dude, thank you so much I smashed maxx into a tree and had basically the same problem you had, and like any other maxx I had to take apart the whole front of the car just to replace this one part which got me in an endless cycle of trying to see which screws go where and where to put certain stuff and I found your video and this helped me go through with this so easily, thank you for your help. Can’t wait to return your channel. Next time I need help. Ty
GREAT VIDEOS SIR,,,,BTW…..I have a hyper tough drill too,,,,but mine has a clutch on it,,,,,,it’s red in color……I bought it at Walmart,,,,,the adjustable clutch works great,,,has 5 settings on it…I bought it 2 years ago….check it out….
Hi just brought the new steel axle but it's short do I have to upgrade the hubs or not please help and I was watching step by step of ur video on how to change them
Hey I just ordered the 400 servo for my wide max and they said I have to put a kit on it to get a horn to work what horn is that you have on that one ?
Took my Maxx apart, then life got in the way. 3 months later I couldn't remember where/how all the parts went back together. Even running this vid in reverse, it is way more thorough than any others. I got my Maxx back together, thanks to you!! Thumbs up, liked, and sub'd.
I will never keep a stock Traxxas servo, any Traxxas servo matter a fact. They are all junk. The stock one in our Xmaxx, Maxx, and Hoss failed with less than 20 runs. Only 6 runs on the Xmaxx. Going with a ProTek, HiTech, or Reefs for all three. Thanks for the video
Hello, i had the same problem with my maxx. I am having problems trying to find the right bearing to replace the seized one, do you know the part# to replace the bearing?
Awesome video! Just broke one of these with my son today! Think I may upgrade to the new all metal design as I think these may be a weak point. Thanks man!
Awesome video! it helped me figure out why my wheels were crooked after I replaced the servo gears. the outer linkage was not dead center due to the blown gears when I pulled it apart so i didnt realize i have to turn the servo on let it center than place the linkage on and hook that to the servo saver... Thanks for the help!!!!
As someone not mechanically inclined, I followed along & understood perfectly your procedures. Subscribed immediately & thank you for all that you do for us. You are very much appreciated!
Great content!! I went with the Aluminum Carriers/Steering blocks and Casters and kept getting my pin size & location screwed up and just watching this video helped me tremendously. Thanks for all the tutorials can't wait to learn more since i just bought my widemaxx.
