I liked how they have used practical effects in this movie, the characters were pretty good, the settings were so detailed with the outlines from the original and the theme of Romulus and Remus hinted in the story. The gore, the intensity, and the monsters have been a blast and i had such a blast watching this in theaters. I fanboyed and got creeped out when i saw those Facehuggers! Their long fingers crawling and chasing! The sequence where they're passing through the room crowded with them! I had so much fun! 🕷🕷🕷 Im glad you enjoyed it, Mr. Bottelston :) The sound design tho! 😉😁
Having worked with a number of neurodivergent students in special ed. classrooms, I found David Jonsson's portrayal of Andy a compassionate take on a character who seems very similar to a developmentally disabled person. The wisdom of his choices are part of the brilliance of Jonsson's performance.
All 3 teams made it into tornados. In fact Twistex team all died as a result. I drove one of those vehicles, the TIV2, the biggest of them. Believe me, there’s outstanding video of this vehicle inside a tornado, in fact the best video perhaps of all time inside a tornado. Look it up.

You know, also, considering the success of this movie, i will never forgive disney for not giving Prey a theatrical release. I literally bought i projector and a 120 inch projector sheet just for that movie so i could see it on a somewhat large screen, and i bootlegged it cause i was not gonna pay hulu for that sht, i was mad. And so insulting to Amber Midthunder and all the American Indians who worked on it. You wanna talk about racist conspiracies, i doubt that decision wasnt partly about limiting native american cultural exposure, when this happens over and over its not just an accident,,,, but you know, plausible deniability and "financial decisions" and such. No problem making Caillee Spaeny a star, who i think is great btw, but they couldnt give Amber Midthunder a similar opportunity.
My Friend I am so happy you mentioned PREY, it was and is sooo good. I gave a quick review on a short and it still stands. PREY is the second best Predator next to the original. It deserved and deserves so much more on all levels.
Dang Tom i was starting to think you werent going to cover this lol. Before i watch the video i wanna say, this is tied for me with Alien and Aliens. I know that sounds absurd for many, considering Romulus has recycled elements, no newt, queen, etc. BUT, here me out, the development of the horror and repressiveness of weyland yutani, (being stuck on that planet is scarier than facing the alien to me), the likeability of the cast(theyre my favorite cast), and the development of Andy and Rains relationship and his arc of badass mode are some of my favorite things in all the alien franchise. You may say what about the casts of alien and aliens? Alien they were truckers but relatively free, in aliens, aside from newt and ripley, they were sht bag corporate marines, im sorry but fck em, theyre probably the mfers who come and massacre rebellions on colonies like jackson star, in romulus you have a bunch of nice likable kids who are only doing what theyre doing to SAVE THEIR LIVES. Best character collection in all the movies. AND THE VISUALS, so i saw this movie for the second time yesterday, and some of the visuals of the station crashing into the rings, and that shot of the cargo with the human xeno hitting the rings with Romulus/Remus in the background still crashing while Rain is still hanging out,,,, one of the coolest things ive ever seen on the big screen. Im sorry Tom i didnt mean for this to be so long, but also the mythology symbolism of Remus and Romulus, reminds me of how andy and rains relationship could have turned. remember when the british dude was like "two space virgins coming thru", if you remember cabin in the woods, this movie fits that 'mythology' too, the two space virgins survived 😂. Ok, anyway man im gonnna watch your review now 😅

It’s the only way to be sure.” In all seriousness though, if they made a 2 hour made for D+ movie out of the thing and kept things tight and crime noir oriented, it may have had some legs. And people might have actually asked for a follow on series. As it was, it was a narrative flop and so no resuscitation without complete retconns.
It was canceled because they realize they’re spending Hundreds of millions of dollars creating a woke Bastardized version of a legendary Saga trying to target audience that such a small minority, they would never recoup their expenses
Theres not much bad stuff, 8, 9, resistance, amd sorta boba fett but thats it, and the whole lightsabers dont work thing happened on gwo characters we all knew werent gonna die cuz one was in a show that took place after kenobi, and the ogher was a main character in the show that was on its first episode, and i get the story was meh with acolyte but it doesnt mess with canon or take away from anakins birth if you know what youre talking about, and im almost certain that with the way they were going and the intruduction of plagus would have finally given a concrete answer to how anakin was born, people are just too buried in nostalgia and the wierd star wars is woke retoric got in the way, i also dont understand how people can complain about plot holes on a story that hadnt ended yet, its the first season obviously their were unanswered questions, and if we are gonna talk about problems with the canon or story telling or slugish fight or really anything else we need to look at the fact that those have been problems since the start of star wars. Its called patience and it something star wars fans need to understand.

Its a different earth so it doesn't matter, im still bothered by the fact they said there wasn't many female characters, like get an obscure female character or make a new character all together, make her a one off main villain, like she pull the strings like hush and goes out in her own term or something
I think its an interesting take ngl, seeing as how his physical appearance affected the oswald the most, it must be even harder for her, don’t get me wrong i still think its a cheap attempt at a new character but it could’ve been worse, it could’ve been victoria freeze

i didnt really mind the gender bender penguin... but i thought it was pretty silly that all these guys were whooping and hollering and falling all over themselves while she was doing her song at the club... come on.. she's 7 feet tall and fat... most guys aren't swooning over that.
From my understanding batman has more female villains than just Harley, ivy and Catwoman. So why not use them? So my thoughts they chose the lazy/cash grabby way just like many other's.

I don't care about the Penguin being a woman. I care that they said 'there arent enough female batman villains', and genderbent the penguin rather than use one of the underutilized villainesses
I’ve never understood why people freak out so much over this kind of stuff, I mean comics are known for all the different variations of characters be it writers or different universes. I mean I haven’t seen this so maybe the writing for them just isn’t good.
