Heck yeah this was a great follow up to the first! Caught Nick at the Frankie show in Chicago last year, pretty sure he hit me with the “boss” haha. He’s goin full superstar but still so kind! Some very nice words he said on here, Vineyard is indeed legit!
Been waiting on this one since Cole's! Met them both after the Ty show n had em sign the KPT setlist she threw me at the Gizz show! Both are very kind!
Glad that Marina has been interviewed here. I adore Marina, her voice like Carpenters, and i've been back to the carpenters time, to this present when her vouce is really alive inside Marina. I feel the same ground to them both. Really Amazing. And Speechless also.
Thanks for the great music Noah. My son and I can't get enough of 'High and Low' - there's something utterly addictive about it I can't work out but keep making great stuff and come to the UK some time we'll be there in the front row.
Correction, he didnt network his way around, i discovered him at citrus college, practicing conga in a practice room, im a chicano musician, i know all the chicano musicians, since the 90s, and i needed a percussionist for my flamenco latin jazz solo project, we jammed that night, we became good friends, then i would take him around introducing him to everyone at all the local chicano scene gigs, thats how i introduced him to bardo, at a very be careful show Then they hit it off, and he began doing sound for bardos cumbia band buyepongo at their gigs, we would both go, because we lived near eachother, then bardo had an idea to start his solo project, chicano batman, then i would always go, and do sound for them and help id always joke around with gabriel, telling him, hey youre fukn lucky i discovered you pu1o... because citrus college is dead, there arent any chicano musicians there, its at the end of LA county, with no latin scene, so he would have been just a guy playin in a local rock band at a bar, bcuz the networking at citrus college sucks, its a very generic vibe around there i remember the moment i met him, i asked him, so where you from? because his strong accent, he said colombia, i said aaah cool, you have to see my homies colombian cumbia vallenato band, very be careful.... he was like shut up, a real colombian vallenato band? in LA, i was like yeah, their gigs are the sht. best crowd, everyone dances, alotta girls... etc.. he couldnt believe it, than he went one day, and he realized, i dont lie about sht, then we would always go to their shows, then one day, he met bardo at a very be careful show, bardo is a fan of them too... and bardos band was the same genre, so there was 3 good cumbia party bands at that time,.. around 2008 or something, it was very be careful, buyepongo, and then la chamba came.. good times..
Bro why are you trying to shit on him every chance you get? Leave em alone already. Dudes a better musician than you could ever be and I don’t even know him or you. Quit being a hater and love yourself ttyl man

Good questions and good interview. Not enough of them out there. Sarah's vocal on Cadillac is great. Very 80s , very Kim Carnes in parts. A compliment.
Saw these lads in Austin at this past SXSW- and then saw them again in Boston opening for Frankie and The Witch Fingers this past September. They put on a great show!
Both interviews with Gabriel were great, what a nice guy, so generous sharing his experience about touring, composing, etc. It made go and listen to Levitation Room more, and now they are one of my favourite bands. I like their albums, but it’s true that their concerts are even better (the Daytrotter Session for example is mind blowing). I’m from Spain so I loved his story about the concerts in my land (it’s true that a Spanish audience is very engaged and passionate, compared to other countries). I can’t believe these guys are more successful, they are too good. The interviewer also does a great job making the artist feeling comfortable, mixing deep questions about music with other ones more mundane or funny.
Marina, your music is beautiful and it's amazing to hear about your journey. I relate a lot with your songs, your upbringing, as well as your journey as a person! I think you're further in your journey than me, but I'd like to think I'm halfway home :) You are an inspiration!
So odd to know that they were so in debt. I would think being as successful as they were and not having to be on a major label that they were just making it all for themselves.
