we were enjoying the interplay as I remember it but sorry it marred your enjoyment of the wonderful Robert Douglas Gay whom we both apparently can agree to love ., Shutting me up feels at odds with the jazz enterprise ??
One of the best Renditions of Killer Joe and I've ever heard and I'm going to go to the Hyde Park Record Mart today to try to get this truly enjoyable post
It was a live mix and this is the best we could do. I actually love the band and the performance is good enough for me despite less than perfect tracking and levels., Thanks for paying attention and sharing😀
What a fabulous and fitting celebration. Our family celebrates you too Stanley, and are so happy you continue to spread your love through your music and everything else you will now do. I'll never forget meeting you in 1993 as I searched for a family doctor and your sweet-talking me with your piano to come to Family Practice with my newborn twins! I am honored ¡¡Felicidades!!
Thanks for sharing though I don’t completely agree with you (I can hear the bass a bit loud in the beginning but otherwise was a live mix). Hope you can still hear our performance
I was not a fan of Larry’s when I was younger. Only came to really appreciate him later in life. He became more humble the older he got- and his playing became more extraordinarily beautiful.
I was trying to enjoy this.... but when the singer sang "my funny valentiMe" with intensity...well it was just enough to make me feel a little disappointed. Larry gave it a shot. But this wasn't the ideal backing group to support his improvisation.
Glenn Michael Thompson thank for listening and telling me what you felt .please Check out our other materials with and without Larry Coryell and see what else we enjoy doing
Thank you, so glad I subscribed because I can hear your amazing music, right away. I guess this has become my favorite group; back in about 2006(?) I heard Wannetta sing Precious Lord and declared her my favorite singer, period. Now with this amazing ensemble, well, just wow; very emotional for me to listen. I lost my mother last month and now both parents gone away; we all experience this eventually; but this song gave me something nice to hang on it, deep. Thank you, again.
Wannetta, my favorite singer, ever!! (And best gospel singer, too~~!!) Thank you to everyone involved in producing this totally amazing MASTERPIECE, tour de force~! I miss Boston. Again, just thank you for the beauty~~and for the happiness I felt listening, way on the other side of America~
@@StanleySagov You are welcome. The first time I heard her, she sang, "Precious Lord" and I still remember how I felt, the most beautiful vocal communication, no unnecessary contortions. Glad to be on your email list! Thank you, again.
