I want to have a water collection system, solar power, crops, food preservation, livestock, and more! Eventually I'd like to explore blacksmithing and get into more bushcraft and primitive technology. If you have a truck (or can borrow one) find a farmer who does square bales for horses. I got 10 50lb bales of good second cut alfalfa for $8 each. Then just grab a couple free pallets, stack them and cover with a tarp. Also look into "tree hay". If you have willows in your area they are amazing rabbit feed, but since you are also feeding good quality alfalfa, you can add in other lower-protein trees (I feed ash, elm, aspen, maple, dogwood, wild rosebush, and willow bc those are available to me), just be careful with some stone fruits since their branches can be poisonous (some aren't when fully dry, but I don't have many around so I have never bothered) Oh and if you have mulberry (I'm too cold) I know its considered amazing rabbit feed amongst ppl who live in areas that can grow it (I'm too north)

Worth mentioning that your shed needs to be a certain temperature or dryness to dry the meat safely outside of a refrigerator. Also, depending on the type and cut of meat, 2 days of marinating may be too long and would destroy the tecture of the meat.

Can you grow some fresh greens in winter for your rabbits. If you have a place to grow the greens. I'm just thinking about that since you are getting some feed from tractor supply but you can save some money too.
There are thousands of these running worldwide. Why aren’t they accessible to humankind this is God-given right!! We should not have to pay for water!! It’s God’s gift to us all!!
We’ve got one where my in-laws live (southeastern PA) and me and my husband fill up about 20 something gallon jugs every time we visit. It’s the only water I prefer, it seriously tastes so good 🥰
Oh, I miss that spring! We used to go for a burger, then we would get springwater, then we would take a hike up the hill. It always made a great evening!
