Hello and welcome to the Cars and Engineering RU-vid channel! A just for fun channel base on all things related to cars and engineering. Current Project is a Volkswagen Polo 9N3 GTI, this car has a factory 1.8 20v turbo engine inside. The main goal of the project is to turn the car into a Track focused daily driver, starting from the ground up I'm going to be personally doing all the work myself and only using specialists when its absolutely needed, I'm not looking to get things right first time but I am looking to learn things and hopefully be entertaining for you!
If you think this channel is something youd be interested in then please make sure you subscribe and hit the bell!
The part I used at the time of the video is in the video description. The link should still work if not search ebay for a automatic headlight switch polo 9n3
Nice job man. I had to tear off the entire front end of my passat after the accessory belts shredded and threw off the timing belt by a few notches. But now that it's apart, I see that big silly air pump just easily accessible to remove. Now after this vid I know how to plug it up properly!
I think the passat engine bays are packaged a bit tighter than the polo but it is possible witout taking the front off depending on engine fitted to the vehicle
normally on the back of the bottle is says do not drive the car so id trust the manufacturer of the cleaner to be honest. End of the day its your car so you can do what you want with it but id advise against it
Great video thanks! It mite be worth while having a little voltimeter gauge wired into stereo loom. So you can monitor constant voltage behaviour. Ive got 1 due to a plug under steering fluid resivour breaking and causing a drain on my battery idling after a while but recharged over 1500rpm. Its like a alternator signal wire/plug. Ive got a ibiza 6l tdi my main reasons for doing the battery relocation is for quick access to steering resiovour, fan temp sensor that ive got swtich wired too and of course to show off painted 02m 4h shiftr braided lines. Hoses and ally rad. Mate whats with the foil on box mount? I give 250 for all 3 vibra technics
firstly thank you ive got a digital dash fitted which gives me voltage via OBD so that a good indicator. The foil on the box mount is to keep the polyurethane in the mount as these are custom made mounts there is a video on the channel showing how i did it
In a perfect world yes but ive worked with what ive currently got and its been in the car for six months and its still holding strong. I will relocate the earth point at a later date but at the moment its doing the job. When i get a cage welded in then ill weld in a earth point on something more substantial
If mounting strut bar to under the springs do they need to be under load just like when mounting to top of suspension strut? About to put on ultra racing rear strut UR-AR18-303
I did them hand tight up in the air then torque them up on the floor. I don’t think it matters too much but I’ve heard on the floor under load is better 👍🏻
Thank you very much for your video ... I had bought 330 ohm 10 w ceramic but I still have the secondary air pump fault P0411 do you think I should buy the same resistors of the same quality as yours shown on the video please? I have been erasing the faults from time to time for weeks ... I deleted N249 and N112... thank you for your help
You wont be able to use resistors to get rid of the seconday air intake code im afraid. This code can only be disabled by programming it out of the ECU by a Tuner or specialist
Thank you for this beautiful video... but I admit that I have been looking for months... I removed the N249 and I put 2 x 330ohm/10w resistor under the intake manifold and connected the DValve hose under the manifold and I want to remove the N112 and on the secondary air pump power socket I must also put a resistor or not? because then I would find myself with 3 resistors in total and all the removal kits only have 2 x resistors in total... I am lost... I put a 330/10 resistor to try on the pump and I failed P0411and P1297...thank you very much
For optimum performance never let anything touch the bottom of the tank . Make a cheap wooden frame to suspend the head from tie down straps or something. Then you will see the results of 10 inducers ( the 30 litre version has 10 )
There is a metal basket but this was too big to get in the basket Going to get a wire rack or something to help suspend stuff off the floor of the tank 👍🏻
hello i'm trying to tap m10x1.5 but in the kit i got it has inserts? it says to use a 13/32 drill so i did but when i used the drill to make the hole & begin to turn the tap it gets stuck?? i can't tap through for some reason.. don't know what i'm doing wrong
So the kit is telling you to use an imperial drill size to cut a metric thread? You need a 8.5mm drill bit for a normal m10x1.5 thread If it’s got inserts then I’m not sure exactly without seeing the kit
There should be a link in the description of the video, if that doesn't work I know they sell them on Aliexpress and some other eBay sellers may sell them, just make sure you contact the seller to confirm fitment.
Hello, where do you get the app from and does it still work? If yes, what android version? I tried to get it from the internet (because the playstore doesn't list it anymore) and couldn't connect it to the light switch.
Dude look in the video description all the details are there and even a link to the right resistor is there too www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2W-Power-Metal-Film-Resistor-1-Tolerance-1-Ohm-1M-Ohm/252024737412?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=550885059205&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=3&mkcid=1&campid=5338680676&toolid=10001&customid&mkevt=1
My turbo exhaust housing is cracked&my car has a loss of power,I wannna know if the crack could be the contributing factor for the loss of power. Thanks.
Ok tnx a lot,but another thing I forgot to vent out is that my turbo also has a whistling sound which I don't know if it could be that crack or what,so do have any idea of what the cause is?
@@mathewuvictory9031it’s a crack in the manifold bro.. I drive a VW Passat 2.0t 2007 and I’m just now figuring this problem out, so you have any updates?
what springs do you have? I had three in the kit and just fitted the stiffest one and its been fine since ? i think its just the amount of boost the spring can take before it creeps open?
Had a look on creation motorsport for the oversized TIP. Does it have to be specific to the 9n3 BJX or can it be any of the K03 1.8t engine’s? As they dont have the black or red ones in stock. Cheers
best thing to do is to email them and ask when they will be back in stock, i believe they have in the description what engines they fit creationsmotorsport.com/oversized-silicone-turbo-intake-pipe-ayp-aqx-bjx-h0100b.html if not i think badger 5 have intakes for theses for sale.
