I got to go to casa bonita at the end of may, it was so cool because I have literally no memory from when I went there like 10 years ago for a friend's birthday
I live about two blocks from here, I go to the planet fitness a few doors over from Casa Bonita 3-4 times a week and I always pass a crowd of people who have traveled a long way to be there. It’s real strange having a tourist attraction right in the middle of the incredibly average Lakewood Colorado.
Oh my god thank god my entree got called over a month ago. For anyone who doesn’t know Casa Bonita is a lottery to get in. The puppet show was amazing I’m just sad that the cliff diving was so short
You know. The South Park guys buying Casa Bonita was horrible. This use to be a fun cheap place to drag your kids to. Now the wait-list is ridiculous and the food is still garbage.
I had gone there a couple for times in summer camp. Main food? meh Sopapillas? With honey in them? amazing the entertainment and activities there? fire
I remember this place I had a school field trip there once glad it remodeled, I remember they use to have empty place if you go far enough down kinda scary tbh
We actually got to go on one of the days it was first officially open, as a gift from one of my parent’s bosses for 25 years of continued employment. It was fantastic.
Tell me you’re not a native without saying it. Cause actual natives of the state are why this is even still around!!! Sure now it’s more touristy, which is fine, but the only reason anyone knows about it is because of natives to the state. Also throwing around the term native in Colorado is so fucking stupid. Unless your ass is part of a tribe, you’re not native!
Yeah $40 per person you got to be joking this place is outrageous these people want to make millions of dollars off to South Park it's disgusting it's not about the food the food is awful anyway people said they went there it's not even delicious it's it's not even delicious it's rated by the two on the scale of 10 there's other places in Denver that have way better than Mexican food don't even bother to wait on that waiting list it's disgusting if you want to eat sloppy half-Mexican food remember no kidding I've been there it's joking it's awful then you have some real Mexican people that must be white people work in the kitchen because there's no Mexican rice and green chili and hot chili and all that it's a mile so we want to listen to go elsewhere if you want to pay for the the hype give them $40.80 for two people to eat you got to be out of your mind or anything for it in 2029😮😮😮😮
I got in anx the food was terrible and they are stingy with the sopapias. $50 per person base fee and it's fun but having gone for my entire life, not worth it for me. I'd try again earlier in the day to see if the food is better but if it's not I'd never go back mist likely.
This is such a helpful video, thank you! We are coming from the UK next May and were debating whether to do Denver zoo or Cheyenne, think this video has swung it for us! And the tips on handling altitude etc are much appreciated to someone who lives by the coast in Wales!
Thank you for watching! The Cheyenne Zoo is pretty great, and hopefully you can have fun in Denver doing some more city stuff 😀 I hope you have a wonderful time here!
It's a place that's ridiculously local to my neighborhood so maybe I'm a little biased, but Corner House Pizza & Pasta Bar at the corner of Knox and 1st is really good. Probably some of the best pizza I've had outside of Houston (where I used to live), and their pasta dishes are amazing too. The owner is *exceptionally* nice, courteous and enthusiastic. They're a really small place, so sometimes if they're very busy it might be a little slow, but they're also still incredibly understated and out of the way, so it doesn't get very busy often. Highly recommend that you at least check them out.
the battery candles ruin the magic for me - I wouldn't expect them to encircle themselves in danger, but real candles displayed carefully would make me want to purchase. I won't go with the fake sort.
It's a fun place to go. The one thing that scared me was probably the gorilla coming to your table and tensing all over your food whenever it's someone's birthday also, I'm not sure, but I think there was a time where someone jumped off the waterfall as the stunt and got injured. Not sure read it in an article. I was young. I probably don't remember.
