You can tell that this is an older video by the Ft Madison shots since it's now the Amtrak Station, which is so awesome. I'm sure that the yard by the old station appreciates not having Amtrak there. While it was only for a short time it can lead to issues if, say, there's an issue with the Chief and Equipment.

Great catch! Equipment was likely from 110th Chemical Battalion; 48th Chemical Brigade from Ft Lewis, WA heading to Fort Knox, KY for training exercise in conjunction with a Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (EDRE) in conjunction with 2nd Brigade Combat Team; 101st Airborne Division.
This certainly brings back memories of freight service and operations on the Chicago Aurora and Elgin. That line was discontinued on June 9 1959. Passenger service was discontinued on July 3 1957.
