hey, this is a very valuable video, thanks for making it! I haven't found any video that shows the actual petrol consumption without combining it with a full load of electric power. The only thing I would have liked is to see another video with depleted battery at start and then a normal cycle with different speeds and braking / recuperation. Like that one could decide if a 30e is worth it compared to a 30i when you don't charge your battery at home at all.

Hi again, I took delivery of my BMW X3 30e about 12 days ago. Have charged it every evening but a 100% charged battery only shows 34 kilometers at the most, actually getting much less when driving. What am I doing wrong? Have spoken to my dealer and he said it‘s normal as it has an intelligent charging system. I only drive short distances in the week, longer at weekends. Your input would be greatly appreciated 👍

There is no way I can achieve this range. I’m lucky if it says 19km with departure time and charging on 110v outlet 10A 2021 x3 30e 60,000km on the clock. +4C outside

@@thomasgarbaty7374 it’s been a while since my first post on range. In the mean time, I’ve found out that if you accelerate slowly and don’t drive over 60 kph (in town e.g.), always observing the power meter on the right hand dash clock, I can get over 40k km range.

Very handy for short commutes. But the engine never heats up at all, so would be very degrading for start stop situations.

I'm just about to sign a new leasing contract on this same car. Did you really get 42 kms out of a full charge? I see the outside temperature was just 2.5 degrees so quite cold. This has really given me a better feeling that I was about to make a mistake. all other reports say 30ks max in pure electric mode. Thanks for a reply

I have been driving a plug-in hybrid for three years now and have noticed that when it is cold ,the most important thing is to schedule the battery charging. Charging just before driving pre-heats the battery and thus the battery has more power. I get that distance almost every morning at that temperature but of course it all depends on the driving style and driving conditions. X3 30e is a great car and mpg when battery depleted is very good also.

@@bmwepower1467 Can you explain further how you preheat the battery if you know you’re departing 07.00 and if you do over night charging?
@bmwepower1467
@bmwepower1467 2 года назад
So departure time sets time when charging starts, if you are leving at 7:00 am the car charges batteries just before you leave -departure time without AC or inside preheat( it will warm the batteries) -Current limit setting (16a to warm the battery to max temp )

Thanks for sharing the results. About the battery, we know it has a 7.6kWh battery, but how much is the effective capacity of the battery? I heard it is about 5.7kWh on avg... I am asking because I have a Fusion Energi, and it supposed to have 9kWh, but the effective capacity that I have is 5.2. Wondering if the 330e will give me a more effective capacity... Thanks

@@kostaskostopoulos2913Idk but I just bought this car. 2016 125 000 kilometers driven. I drove to work with only electricity (15km) and battery went from 100% to 10%. But that's enough for me. Takes about 4-5 hours to load from 0 to 100%. On hybrid mode the average fuel consumption is about 10liters/100km.
