Welcome to Dach's Autos. A RU-vid channel featuring content with just about anything with an engine. We'll have some related content such as building our shop, random 'farm' projects, maybe a horse or two, but primarily focused on automotive topics.
Rebuilds, maintenance, upgrades and detailing, we've got a little bit for everyone.
I had American car with 250,000 miles no leaks at all .i bought one BMW 2014 X3 with 65000 miles leaks from top gasket. BMW MAKES JENKS CAR I NEVER BUY BMW ANY MORE .
Why the fuck can't I see shit in your "repair" video? Is it because you're a fucking idiot? Probably because only fucking idiots drive such a fucking idiotic Boomer-mobile?
Yo boss Im young still getting in the trade but the next move is to build a barn like this I would appreciate the cost breakdown in one of ur videos, peace ✌🏽
Oof.. that's going to be hard to pinpoint these days as we put up the building in 2020, and did much of the work myself/with friends. The building was about 60k, the foundation was about 40 for labor and materials. The floor we just did was about 30 for materials and labor (I did all the prep-work), and we had help from friends to erect the building. - Happy to put you in touch with the company that fabbed the building (I'm on the owners Holiday Card list :) )
Man that looks like the dream I work in a giant 12 foot tall sandblaster throwing around bush hogs land grater and tillers, don’t get me wrong it’s awesome but after work if I’m not too wore out I like to go work on my cars and honestly I wanna own a shop where we do literally everything possible with cars, and I’ve still got a lot of learning to do on that end
@@DachsAutos she’s on and finished started around 9am with a quick lunch break. Would have finished sooner but I had a issue with my rear bow “lever mechanism” it’s riveted to behind the rear side panel…mine had bound up somehow (previous owner it’s always made a strange noise) I guess the new top was tight enough it was binding against the rear glass. No idea how it didn’t shatter it
I was confused until I realized when you said "mils" you really meant millimeters. A mil is one thousandths of an inch. Otherwise good. Sorry, from my machinist background. Thanks.
Keep your eyes peeled for me ... I am looking for a cargo carrier with a ramp (for my etrike) that is bumper mount ... It's like trying to find a unicorn
i just found the one i owned in 1984, a 76 spitfire 1500.. in the process of buying it back .. needs some work. I hope to learn some things from you! Thanks
Awesome! I've still got a few things ahead of this build (and budget) BUT, You might want to check out @StevesProjectCarGarage and his restoration on Triumph. Many similarities I believe.
On the 1972 Dodge Challenger are the quarter panels you are using from AUTO METAL DIRECT? I have the same car and will be doing the same thing. If so how are the lined to original panel? Thank You.
@mattsecuro2968 Yes, the Mopar certified AMD panel. Much better quality than the Sherman panel we tried first. This car has seen it's share of past life, so some things needed some massaging, but the panel itself is solid quality, which the price reflects.
How did you end up taking the door spear trim off? Did you have to do anything from the inside? I'm having same little challenge right now. Trying figure out how to take one off the passenger side of my 2-door 51 Styleline Deluxe to replace it :)
A lot of mine were rusted and pretty much broke off as I was taking things apart. Some, I could slide a small flat head screwdriver or similar behind and push the little finger down, but any just broke away.
Interesting that most of it fit in a Pack Rat 20' storage container. Toolboxes are in the house garage and vehicles are covered outside.. Guess it's a good time to re-organize when everything goes back in! 4000sq ft shouldn't have been that cramped.
I'm not sure, it was provided by the customer. He had ordered some other parts as well (battery box, etc) and they were never delivered. - This trunk filler did not fit well either, so, not something I would suggest. -- Might want to check with these guys, and see if they have anything, or suggestions. - www.wildcatmopars.com - I used them for some parts on the Challenger rebuild. Great group to work with.
Well good video very detailed! Just a tip in the future always wear latex or nitrile gloves when replacing bulbs! Can save you tons of headaches! Keep up the good videos!
I’m sure you know by now but the calipers are on the wrong side. You have the left caliper on the right side and vice versa. Bleed screws ALWAYS go on the TOP otherwise air will be trapped in the caliper. Just like a thermostat. The jiggle air valve goes at the top to bleed air out. (and the wax pellet part faces the engine block-very important).
Yup, but due to the parts store mess up and the need to use the truck, that's how it ended up. It'll get fixed some day when i feel bored enough to spill brake juice all over the floor.
How much do you think it would cost to have someone replace the top? Would it be a good thing to go through my insurance? My top is ripped right along the top part of the back window and I’m wanting to just replace it and I’m wondering how much you think it’s going to cost me? It’s for a 2001 GT that is in really good condition except for the tear across the seam of the window 🤪
