Lining up the nipple into the flange. I have a very small nip size (13/15 mm) so I wondered if it’s hard to aim if you can’t see the nipple in the flange
I was hoping Amazon US or Momcozy would ship direct, but it doesn't look like it. You may have to reach out to support@momcozy.com to see if there are any local stockists. Hope that helps 😊
Thanks for asking! The duckbill valve opens and closes with the suction created by the pump. So it will will open to allow the milk to flow through into the collection cup. If you pinch it the duckbill valve you can see it opens at the bottom :)
If it isn't turning on at all, I'd try leaving it on charge for a couple of hours then seeing if that has fixed it. If not, then contact Momcozy support at support@momcozy.com :)
This is my first portable pump and I absolutely love it ❤❤ now considering to go for a momcozy V2 or M9 or any hospital grade? Which would you recommend for elastic nipples?
I do love the Momcozy pumps! If you have elastic nipples you'll want to avoid the V and M series as they have a much shorter tunnel. The S9 Pro and S12 Pro are your best options as they have the longest tunnel which you need with elastic nipples. Out of the 2, I prefer the S12 Pro but both have pros and cons I talk about here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IJFYC0_aT6Y.html :) Bonus if you use my code PUMPINGMILK at momcozy.com before the 15th July you'll currently get 25% off (#ad)
The Mobile Style is the M6 - I really do think this is a great pump! I have my M9 on its way so haven't had a chance to review it yet, but I do love that it has a few more features such as the tracking app which I am keen to check out...I'll post my review video once I've had a chance to properly review it 😊
I just heard back from Momcozy and they do not have a replacement of the Mobile style just yet. Best to reach out to them directly at support@momcozy.com to find out when they might have one available.
So you stack the flanges??? I’m a 19 so should I put my 21 flange in and then my 19 over top??? I’m getting milk but I’m not being emptied so I’m trying anything I can
So sorry but no you do not need to stack the flanges. This was my error. Just choose the correct flange insert for your flange. If you're not being emptied, I recommend double checking your seals and making sure than your parts don't need replacing (I.e. duckbill valve).
There is a little pouring spout at the top of the flange. I like to remove the pump motor first, and then you can pour the milk out from the pouring spout. Leave the flange attached to the cup to make it easier to pour. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately my only recommendation if the 17mm is too big is to look for a smaller flange insert like the 15mm (amzn.to/3xOox55 #ad). This will fit directly into your 24mm flange.
Happy to help :) I don't own a Lasinoh Discreet Duo yet, but looking at the key features the Mommed S21 is more powerful with a 280mmHg suction strength vs 260mmHg of the Lasinoh Discreet Duo. Battery life on the S21 is also much better at 150 mins vs 100mins on the Duo. You do get an extra mode on the Duo with does give you more control with your pumping settings, however there are only 9 suction levels. With the S21 you have 3 mode but 12 suction levels. As I said, I don't have the Duo, but looking at the features alone, I'd choose the Mommed S21 for the high suction strength and longer battery life. Most of the other features look very similar. Hope that helps!! Also if you choose to go with the Mommed S21 you can get 25% off with the code PUMPINGMILK when you buy direct from mommed.pxf.io/LX51bL which also makes the S21 much more affordable than the Duo (#ad)
I believe they have now upgraded the M5 to include a timer, but the model I have does not have a timer. And it sounds like they have stopped including the 27mm flange then. Thanks for the info that's helpful 😊
I am so sorry for the misinformation, but you do not need to stack the flange inserts for the M5. Just pick the correct size and insert that into the flange 😊 If you weren't getting a lot of milk, just make sure your parts don't need replacing and that the seals are all firm.
If it's leaking from the pump, and you've checked that it's put together correctly with firm seals, then it could be that the flange or valves need replacing.
Do you think the suction is good? I don't feel the suction is strong at all. I just received mine and haven't had my baby yet but was trying it out. But I can barely feel it.
Suction strength wise, it's up to 295mmHg, which is powerful. If you can barely feel it, that doesn't sound right. I recommend double-checking the parts to make sure there is no damage and check the assembly to ensure adequate seals. Also, have you measured your nipples to ensure you're using the correct flange size? And what settings did you have it on?
same with me. i can reach the level 9, at first i kinda feel the pulling but after a minute or two, i can't feel any suctioning anymore. so i keep on increasing the level.
Hi such a great video so helpful! FTM here...Can I sanitize all components by running it through my dish washer sanitation setting or should i sanitize by boiling the components.
Thanks for the great feedback! The M5 is not suitable for a dishwasher, microwave or heat sterilizer due to the soft silicone. Ideally you will boil it or use a sterilization solution like Milton amzn.to/3KTTNT0 (#ad)
The noise is less than 50dB. A library or very quiet office is 40 to 45dB. Normal conversation is 60dB. So, depending on how quiet your workplace is, you may or may not notice it.
I’m wondering about it wearing over time popping on and off. Do you think it would start leaking seeing it doesn’t have the silicone around the edge? What keeps it from leaking now?
It clips/locks into place. It has a space that goes over the pouring spout and then clips in at the bottom, so I don't see it popping on and off unless that breaks. There is also an inner silicone lip to help prevent leaks. It feels a lot more secure to me than a silicone flange, but it is a hard plastic, so that is a consideration.
Not that I have found so far. Maymom do a long flange insert amzn.to/3KJfXre (#ad) which will help extend the tunnel, but this is for the S9/S12 models. Honestly, I think the M5/Mobile Style tunnel is too short for elastic nipples. If you're after a Momoczy wearable pump, I think the S12 Pro amzn.to/3RnlWFV (#ad) with the Maymom long flange inserts is a better option. The tunnel on the S12 pro is twice as long as the Mobile Style.
So glad it could help! I do really love the M5 for it's 105 degree flange and vibration mode. Both are great pumps though :) Also if it helps, you can get 15% off your pump when you use my code PUMPINGMILK at momcozy.com (#ad)
Omgosh I didn't know you had to slide the lip of the diaphragm OVER that piece or that you had to stack the flange inserts! I think my experience is about to be enhanced just with these two changes!! Thank you so much for this video!!
So glad it was helpful!! I do have to apologize though, you actually do not need to stack the inserts for the M5 like I said in the video! Simply use the 1 flange insert with the correct size you need. But yes you definitely want the lip of the diaphragm to slide over as that will help ensure your suction is working properly :)
Very helpful video thanks. How would you advise I sterilise the parts that come into contact with the breast milk rather than just using warm soapy water? There’s mixed info online. I have a UV steriliser or is soaking the items in Milton fluid or boiling best?
Thanks for the lovely feedback! You need to initially wash the parts in warm soapy water to remove any residual breastmilk, then sterilize. I believe you can use a sterilizer for the Momcozy S9 Pro/S12 Pro/V1/V2 however the M5 and new mobile style need to be boiled/Milton fluid as they are made from PA/ABS materials. Momcozy have their range of microwave steam bags that are suitable too amzn.to/3Xdp4Ib (#ad) Just keep in mind UV light sterilizers and microwaving of your breast pump parts may result in cloudiness / discoloration of the parts over time.
Both are less than 50dB. They are both pretty similar on the massage mode, however I think the Mobile Style is noticeably quieter on the expression mode. Hope that helps :) Also if you do decide to buy either of the pumps you can get 15% off at momcozy.com by using my code PUMPINGMILK (#ad)
Thank you for this information 🙏🏻 I’ll be a first time mom in October and your videos are just way better to decide the best one! I think that I’ll go with the M5 Again thank you!! ❤ Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
Firstly, congratulations - that is so exciting!! And thank you so much for your lovely feedback! So glad it was helpful - i love the M5 too! Also if it helps you can also use my affiliate code PUMPINGMILK on the Momcozy website and get 15% off the entire site :)
The V2 is slightly quieter at less than 48dB. The Mobile Style is less than 50dB. To give you an idea of how loud that is: Whisper is 15dB. Normal conversation is 60 dB. Library is 45 dB. Heavy city traffic is 85 dB.
I bought my M5 in February 2024 and mine has a timer. I just pushed the little recycle button one time after the screen goes dark and then it shows how many minutes I’ve been pumping.
Thanks so much for letting us know! That is great news if they have included it in the newer M5 pumps 😊 I did double check mine, just in case I missed it, but there is definitely no timer for my M5 pump.
49 hrs, the pump is almost 7 years old. I used with my 1st near the end of my pumping journey. It still works great as a backup as I got the S1 this time through insurance.
Yes, my kit came with the inserts 😊 Just as a note in the video, I said you need to stack your inserts, but you can actually just use the 1 insert with your correct size. No need to stack them.
Hopefully, this does the trick for you! Just a note, I know I mentioned in the video to stack the flange inserts. You can actually just choose your correct size and use just the 1 flange insert 😊
I think both are great pumps. I really do love the design of the Mobile Style, but if price is a big factor and if you don't need the extra battery life, then I think the M5 is better value, especially with its vibration with mixed mode and 105 degree flange. If price wasn't your main factor, I'd go with the Mobile Style.
@@pumpingmilk Amazon has a great price today for Prime Day on both Mobile Style and M5 today. 7-17-24 ($215 for the Mobile Style) ($159 for M5) Thanks for the video!

Video correction: I mentioned the standard flange design is 180 degrees. Please note that this should have been 90 degrees. Apoligies for any confusion!
