I'll really respect DF for being upfront about what happened there, however I will always be surprised they did this whilst knowing just how similar the two songs were.
@@lepercolony8214 If you don't know you should find out and look at how Sure Shot and the subsequent lawsuits affected the development of musical culture in the 1990s.
Clearly influenced by Jarrett, and he deserves the credit. But I'd also point out that the SD version takes the original idea and develops it to perfection. Jarrett should play SD's version as a tribute to how much they improved his original idea.
Amazing drummer..fenomenal bassist. They keep timing like rock. No matter what drummer plays. The bass player keeps playing his ostinato. Very, but very good rythem section performance, bravo. The bass, and piano unuson are super pocket killing!
Wow thanks for this. I was just listening to the Jarrett track and thinking, wow, this sounds exactly like Goucho. Had to look it up and low and behold!
oh man...Keith Jarrett should be honored that somebody like Donald Fagen admired his Song - 2 Geniuses should'nt come to a law suit point. Gaucho is my favorite and a improved version of Jarretts Song.would be interesting how Jarrett would interpretive Glamour Profession. (-:
